No one can match the Mega-G for speed or fun. As for realism - just compare AFX s Formula bodies to any other HO car, you ll see what they mean. All of this just adds to the already fantastic value. With 86 pieces of track you can make at least 18 different layouts in 4 lane configuration! Of course you can design your own layouts too. You ve got everything you need to build almost any kind of track in 2 or 4 lanes all in one box!

WOW, The best Track I have ever bought.
This set is for serious racers. NOT for little ones, it has an adjustable speed control for the cars. the cars are SUPER fast and I have slot cars for many years, these cars are really fast, so fast I could not put them to expert speed yet even for myself and experienced friends. The track takes time and patent. The Tokyo track is the hardest to set up, but the most fun.The set is well worth the money, It some with the directions to set it up in ALL the F-1 tracks that are raced on in the world, you can go online and find many more ways to set up the track.

Special Thanks to Roberta & everyone from Model Empire for Fullfilling a Christmas to Remember !!)))
Christmas of 2015 will be the Day to remember & a reflection of my Childhood when my Parents bought me my first AFX Track on Christmas!!i really purchased the Track for my Son & all my Grand Children they really fell in Love with it & everyone's attention was on the Track & how Blazing fast the Cars were!! The Three different settings on the Power Packs were a life saver from beginner intermediate to Expert & believe me when I tell ya if ya switched to expert ya better be prepared to go Air born to infinity & beyond!!)) The only issue I experienced was how to fit the 19 different Track layouts on a four by eight sheet of plywood! My Son came up with the solution & reduce the size of the USA version to fit!!I am already trying to convince my Son to add an addition to his house so we can expand the Track!! My decision to spend the Money on a Kids Toy not that Cheap but after my experience I would be the First to Say just Do It & believe me ya won't forget it!!))))I just want to Thank Model Empire from Wisconsin for our Special Christmas now it's time to get back to Racing!!))From A 53 year Old Guy going on Eight!!!)))))0000

Great Set
Everything was complete and worked just great. I now realize however that having 4 lanes means having 4 human beings on the same page and that's the challenge. Luckily this set requires putting 2-Two lane tracks together to create the 4 lanes so...... I'm taking it all apart and creating a much longer and challenging 2 Lane circuit. The kids will love it. Great set and great value.

Wow, this is a blast!!!
My dad, in a bit of nostalgia, wanted a slot car track for Christmas. I searched on amazon, and found this one to be ranked high. It does seem expensive when you first see the price, but I guess it is a fair price when I compared it to other tracks.I arrived quickly and well packaged. I knew we were going to need to build a table, and I figured to use a 4X8 sheet of plywood on some sawhorses. When I goggled "slot car table" one site the pops up shows how to build a really good table. I think it was from brs hobbies. So I purchased the equipment, which cost about another $75, and spent some quality time with my dad putting the table together. When we were done, the table is really nice. Then we went to put the track together. I have to say that reading the directions is a useful tool. We started just slapping pieces together because, after all, we are guys that don't read directions LOL. The pieces weren't making a good connection, and after reading the directions, we figured out where we went wrong. The pieces are all marked with a label, for example 15S means 15" straight piece. The curves are either 1/4 or 1/8. Each of the curved pieces can be either 1/4R or just plain 1/4. Trust me, it makes a difference which one you use :-) You can make a lot of different tracks, and by following the directions, putting them together gets pretty easy. The 4X8 sheet of plywood is the smallest size, you may want to actually put a larger table (maybe a couple of sheets). If space is a concern, then you don't have to build the entire track. You can remove any two identical pieces from each side. So for example, you can remove a 15" straight piece from each side of the track to make the track shorter. The fact that this has 4 lanes is nice, but let me give you a tip from a guy that lost a LOT of races. Make sure you get one of the outside lanes. These cars FLY around the track, and when you have "S" curves, if you're on the middle tracks, your car can tend to spin. By being on the outside, you can use the orange guard rails to help keep the back end of your car from spinning. When you first put cars on the track, they tend not to run perfectly well. I don't know if you have to wear a bit off the connectors, or get the motor to spin, or what exactly, but after about 3 laps, they should work really well.Overall, three generations of men in my family (my dad, myself, and my son) have a blast with this. My son is 3, and when we go play, he talks about the race cars at pawpaw's house for days afterward. Once I see how much happiness it has brought our family, the price seems really fair, and we can play with it for years to come.

Great fun.
Great track for four cars. I bought the additional lap counters separately. Super durable. Was on the floor and dog stepped on it several times. Need to keep it swept with a hand-vac.

Great fun, great bargain, great quality
I couldn't be more pleased. This was exactly what I expected it to be and more, a high quality, durable, fun slot car set. The cars are FAST and stay on the track even at high speeds. You have lots of different F1 circuits you can duplicate, and if you do a web search, you can find other tracks that fit on a 4 foot by 8 foot table. You have to fit the track together precisely, and have some patience in doing so, but once you've got the track perfect, it stays that way and brings tons of joy to those who play.
