no. Its not a antibacterial soap, but like soaps do, it gets rid of bacteria and other virus causing germs. plus the essential oils are amazing. great quality soap without all the unhealthy stuff in it.

It doesn't leave any residue. It's a light body wash that leans a nice scent, not overpowering at all. I have super sensitive skin and I don't have any problems with this soap. Hope this helps
