Hangman Z-Hanger Heavy Duty Mirror, Picture and Panel Hanger -Aluminum: Z-18

Used to hang a large mirror with a wood frame which weighs about 100 lbs. I used two sets of 12" hangers, one on either side of the mirror securing the wall part of the hanger with one screw each through a stud. I used the other provided screws into the wall board. I screwed the mirror part of the hanger with the remaining provided screws. It took two of us to lift the mirror. It was easy to attach the two halves of the hanger together. I have used these previously on large framed art, but nothing as heavy as the mirror. It worked beautifully!

I purchased this to hang a heavy French Door panel horizontally on the wall as a Farmhouse decor. My fear was not having enough support on the dry wall and it not being straight. This hanger tackled both fears, better yet it conquered it. It was surprisingly ease to install other than someone assisting me with the weight of the door. The hanger was a blessing. I needed security that this door would not fall on top of me while I’m cooking. I placed it above my kitchen cabinets. I had a large empty plain space between the top of the cabinets and the ceiling. The hanger made my vision possible creating a beautiful center attraction. Here to buy another hanger and stopped to write a review.

100% full real deal right here. These are solid, precision manufactured, quality hangars. I purchased the 12" versions to hang a rather heavy antique mirror - worked like a charm and it looks great on the wall, far better than any method I have used before. I purchased some heavy duty drywall anchors (the mirror has sentimental value) to be safe (if memory serves they include some anchors I suspect would work just fine, I chose to go with a little extra insurance despite the holes in the wall it will leave). The brackets have multiple holes so you can pick and choose a little bit, clearly the heavier the item the more screws you may want/need to use. All in all, very impressed and compared to another product I purchased from Amazon and have reviewed, I will buy these again.

So, I bought 2 sets of these. Just in case. Glad I did. I am one of those guys that can not stand wall MOLLYS to anchor anything. I will do almost anything to secure object to a stud (including adding studs if the foresight and option is available). Having said that- the screws these brackets came with are the weirdest ones I have seen. It is a cross between a lag and a molly. Weird. There are two things in life I find to be true. We hate the way things are, and we hate change. I can not use these screws. I had to use my own. So, to mount in the wall I needed two sets of brackets. Anyway MY FAULT for not looking at the length of the one I bought. These are 12 inches. Of course MOST homes are 16OC. So, I had to mount 2 sets to make sure the heavy a)(*8*O) mirror the wife bought would not fall and kill the cat on the sofa. Especially since I voiced my opinion on disliking cats. Sturdy? yes. Easy to install? yup, just use a screw driver/gun to mount. Quality ok? yup- aluminum. Locking? no, so it will come off the wall if you hit it from the bottom. ANY French cleat design will. Would I buy again-Yup, in 16 or long OC. (ps IT DOES come with small screws to mount to the item in question.

I needed to mount a 15lb acoustic panel to a sloped ceiling. I chose these Z hangers for the interlocking design. This set worked great. On a typical wall hung piece, you'd use one pair (one on the piece, one on the wall). I used two pairs for this installation, one on top and one on the bottom. The mating of the pairs is perfect. Not so tight that it's difficult to hang, not so loose that there's concern about the piece staying in place. This ended up being a great solution to a somewhat unusual mount. Going to order more and hang more panels.

Great product, very sturdy. We hung a very heavy custom made shelf that we knew was going to end up even heavier once we added tons of hot sauce bottles to it for display. I was able to mount it all by myself. My only complaint is my package did not come with drywall anchors as it pictured. But I used some I had on hand and it worked perfectly. We hung 1 screw in an actual stud and the rest in drywall. It is easy to hang and very secure. Very happy!

Mounted a full size headboard to the wall because the bed frame didn't allow for a headboard attachment. I did look up a youtube video to make sure I had the brackets turned the right way. That was a little confusing. But once I was sure of that and had all the measurements down it was all easy to attach. Got the 30" bracket into 2 wall studs. The headboard was under 20 pounds. It aint goin nowhere! The brackets fit together effortlessly.

I watched a YouTube video to install. I purchase the 18 inch so that I could place at least one anchor in a stud. Mirror weighed about 40lbs. Works great so far!!

We bought this to hang up an extra heavy piece of art that is made from nails we really did not want to risk it coming crashing as it above a seating area. Was very easy to instal and is so secure. Would definitely buy again for hanging something heavy.

It is what it says it is. Solid, simple to install and does a great job. Screws provided are good quality. It holds two antique mirrors at our place and I feel confident it will stay there for ever. Great product, a little bit on the pricey side though.
