Definitely worth it
If you're trying to decide between a traditional buckle and a deployment clasp, then I'd highly recommend a deployment clasp. It's faster on and off (just like a metal watch bracelet), and it saves your band from the inevitable stretched holes and creasing and cracking from bending it to insert the pin every day. This clasp in particular is very good. The high gloss finish is nice, and it's not too wide (maybe 1/16 of an inch past the band on either side). By the way, if you'd like the matte finish version then you want the model BKL150W-18MM.On the downside it is just ever so slightly on the thick side (from wrist to desk). So when I'm typing I notice it a bit more than my other watch that came with a slightly thinner clasp. Also, the build quality is good, but not excellent. There is just a little bit of play in the part that closes over the pin, and it will rattle a little bit if you shake your wrist. FYI, the part covering the pin pops open, so you can easily slide the band through. You insert the pin into the hole you want and then pop the cover closed over it.Neither of these are major issues to me, and I feel that this clasp is perfectly fine for the price. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. In terms of what you get, the clasp comes with a spring rod (presumably the existing buckle does as well) so there's no need to purchase extras. But you will probably want to buy a spring bar tool which can be had on Amazon for around 6 dollars. If you've never changed a buckle before, basically the buckle (and watch band for that matter) is held in by a tiny rod with springy ends. It's a similar concept to the spring rod that holds in the roll of toilet paper in the wall holder. The rod is so small that you'll need the tool, which is basically a tiny fork, to grab the end of the bar and compress it.

An engineering gem and a breeze to install
Several years ago I bought a Rotary skeletal watch at an airport duty free shop in Europe and when I got it home I found the traditional buckle clasp was defective, in that the stem was too short, causing it to pop through the buckle under the strain from the thick and inflexible leather band. I kept trying to make it work, hoping the leather would eventually loosen up, but finally one day the clasp popped and the watch landed on the floor, no longer running. The Rotary company was as unresponsive as its watch. Recently I overcame my years-long depression about this bad purchase and had the watch fixed, on my own dime - thanks for nothing, Rotary - then set out to deal with the clasp issue. I started out looking for a completely new band, but then found these odd looking deployment buckles on Amazon. While at first glance it was a bit off-putting, I finally realized it was, given my problem, exactly the way to go - I could turn the stiff, good-looking leather watch band that came with the watch from a liability into an attribute. The Hadley-Roma arrived today, along with the Bergeon tool I ordered to help pop the spring bar holding the old Rotary buckle in place. I sat down nervously to attempt this replacement, first putting a clean T-shirt on my desk to protect the watch and the new buckle from scratches. The replacement went amazingly smoothly. I would say that I was wearing my watch with the new buckle within an hour of the delivery of the packages. In fact, I would guess that it took me longer to extract the new buckle from it's packaging than it did to pop in onto the watch and put the watch on my wrist. The buckle is even better than I hoped. Not only is it secure and simple to put on, it is also snug and comfortable. Perhaps I'm just easily impressed. Clearly I'm a neophyte to this type of buckle. Perhaps I'm not in a position to judge the qualities of the Hadley Roma over other manufacturers. On the other hand, readers can perhaps feel some comfort and confidence that even an absolute rookie was able to install this little device in a short time with just the help of a couple of Youtube videos, as suggested by other reviewers: [...] AND [...] The push button release works great.

Good for the price, buttons stick closed, worth trying
Used on a Graph Zeppelin chronograph. Fits perfectly and is a comfortable fit. Very thin profile against the wrist and the Polish on the steel is a good match for the watch. The only reason I marked it down slightly is it feels kind of cheap. It is cheap. But it still feels like it. The clasp closes firmly and gets stuck sometimes and I have to wiggle the buttons to get them to let go.That said this product has absolutely sold me on swapping a lot of my watches to deployant clasps. I just won’t be swapping them to this one. So if you just want something cheap to try it out or to update the look of a less expensive watch I can suggest you giver his a try.

Not what it used to be
This is the 2nd deployant of the same size I own from Hadley-Roma. Same quality as previous. Both are extremely comfortable to wear with no sharp edges on push-to-open buttons, and deployant locks solidly when folded together. I have also purchased cheaper $10-12 deployants from other brands/vendors, material is definitely heftier and higher quality with Hadley-Roma; well worth its price.4-month update: One of the screws that tightens down a pusher had walked out of its thread and gotten lost. I then noticed that both thread holes are larger and other screw is starting to come out, as well. I could have used some loctite thread locker if I had noticed this issue sooner. Now this deployant is render useless. Not sure if this is an isolated defect?

Quality not the usual Hadley Roma Standard, could be fake.
I have bought Hadley Roma clasps before but my most recent purchase I returned as the build quality has changed and not as good as it used to be or these are not genuine Handley Roma and are fakes.

Four Stars
Initially I thought this product was solid and well made. However after wearing a handful of times, my impression has changed. The clasps is extremely venerable to unbuckling when wearing causing you to potentially losing your precious timepiece!!!! I've worn it to the office and its has come undone a handful of time already. So it show you how easy the side pushers can come undone. ******Buyers beware - I no longer recommend this product******

I don't know if I got a lemon, but not very satisfactory...
Hadley-Roma 18mm Stainless Steel Push Button Deployment Clasp I got this piece last week.I was initially surprised at their packing. The product was unbuckled to avoid any scratches, and wrapped with adhesive plastics that you'd find in original clasps. Replacing the clasp isn't hard, as long as you have the right tool. After the installation, I tried the watch on my wrist, and noticed the buckle isn't very smooth and I had to press each side pretty hard to hear a "click" sound. It is not easy when you have it on your wrist. I am not sure if it will smooth out over time, or I should apply some rub. But at this point, it is very annoying. Looks good.... Secure. But expected better finish.
Looks great, locks securely, only grippe is about the finish off the edges.. Had to file away the sharp edges of the press buttons as they were scratching my skin. Was expecting buttery smooth finish from this brand and price paid.

This is the Clasp You're Looking For
Very good clasp! I made the mistake of buying a cheap junk one on ebay and couldn't use it because of the poor design with sharp edges and it didn't open wide enough for easy on and off. This is beautifully designed and well-finished and it opens up nice and wide for easy on and off. If you dislike buckles as much as I do and want a comfortable high-grade deployment clasp, this is well worth the price.
