Since this is the first jump rope I've ever bought, I'm not quite sure how these kind of ropes are suppose to hold up.I've had this jump rope for about three months now. Just following the fitness guide that comes with the purchase(Very useful by the way for someone just starting out) I jump rope about three days a week.After the first month I noticed some wear in the center of the rope which I thought was normal since it hits the ground pretty frequently. It started revealing the steel wires underneath the plastic cover. It didn't affect me jumping at all so I wasn't really worried.Toward the end of the second month, the plastic cover started to give away and pieces started to peel off. Once again, I wasn't particularly worried. I just cut off the stray strands and kept on going.Now nearing the end of my third month the steel wires are starting to fray. I can vividly remember the exact moment I started worrying when the jump rope hit the back of my leg and a piece of the frayed wire went through my skin. That was 5 minutes ago. I literally just stopped mid workout, ran to my computer and started this review.Overall, yes it's great rope up until the moment it isn't. I was considering giving it a lower rating but honestly this rope combined with the guide really got me motivated to get into shape. Honestly, I wanted to like this jump rope. It had great reviews and I was hoping to see the same thing others saw....but unfortunately, I didn't. Far too light weight. Poor spin. It's just not a very good rope. I'd return it if I didn't accidentally break part of one of the handles. With all of the great reviews, I'm hoping I just got a lemon.**Update: 2/18 - I'm pleasantly surprised with this company. They reached out to me and offered another rope for me to try. Outstanding customer service. I will gladly give their product and company another shot.

It's super convenient exercise to be able to take this jump rope in your pocket anywhere you go. Waiting for the bus, etc.You may need to cut the cable, though, and I'm not sure how I would've done that without the cable cutters I happen to have. Tin snips might work, but not very well, If you take it to any bike mechanic, though, their cable cutters will cut it no problem.The handles are stopped by a retaining ring & screw, which means you can adjust it to any length and either leave the ends out or cut them off - so don't worry, you will be able to use it without the cables trimmed.

This is my first jump rope that I've bought or even owned in 15 years or so. I'm by no means someone who needs a really advanced product as I'm not a competitive athlete, but I didn't want anything really cheap either. This is exactly what I was looking for.At the price point, I was a little worried that it would be cheaply made, but I'm really surprised by the quality. It's really strong and durable. It's adjustable to accommodate different heights too. The handles are a really lightweight plastic that are still easy to hold on to, and their size makes them really portable too. The whole thing will fit into a small bag that's included.I got this because I'm trying to get into better shape over the summer and wasn't really sure what to expect from these more advanced jump ropes, but I'm really impressed. High quality, easy to adjust and awesome price.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!Literally the very first time that I used it, the end popped off and I had to repair it. They made sure to include 2 sets of extra ends; I guess because they know how flimsy their product is. I am absolutely upset that I wasted money on something that doesn’t seem as if it’ll last me to the end of the week! I wouldn’t recommend this. Get something that won’t leave you high and dry on the VERY FIRST time.

I'm really not a fan of this jump rope. I like to jump inside, and with a steel cable like this one, the rope is so hard that it's basically impossible to use it barefoot unless you literally never miss. It hurts like a mother***** to have this think hit my toes, or catch under the ball of my foot and have the side slap against my hip or back. I basically never use it at all, so it was a waste of money for me.I suppose if you use it with sneakers and sweats on, it shouldn't be a problem, but I'll take a heavy tubular plastic rope over this one any day of the week. I just haven't found one to replace my old rope that I had for 15 years (and lost) and have no idea where I got it from.

I really like my rope so far. It's easy to adjust so I kept tweaking it til I had it right. Snipped off the excess with some wire cutters and been jumping every since! Well, trying to. It's taken a bit to get the hang of it and I thought I was in shape from jogging, but apparently not! Jumping rope is hard but I find it satisfying and this rope makes it easier, well, the rope and a couple of Youtube instructional videos. It seems good quality so far. I would recommend if you want to try jumping. It's cheap way to see if you like it or not.

Great rope

なんか火花が出るなぁと思ったらワイヤーが剥き出しになってたw長さ調節でき切るのがかなり面倒安物ニッパでは全く歯がたたず、でかい金切り鋏でも歯がたたず、かといってグラインダー引っ張り出すのも面倒だし、ニッパでちまちま時間かけて切りました。単に安くて翌日到着の商品が欲しかっただけなので、完全に私のニーズと異なっています。しかし、ワイヤー入れてまで高速回転で縄跳び回したい人、屋内のジムで縄跳びで鍛えたい人は、ワイヤーでの「ズル」などせずに、普通の縄跳びで鍛えた方がいいでしょう。結局、誰が何のために使うのかよくわからない商品です。

一応ワイヤーなので跳ぶことに関してはすごく調子がいいのですが、使い始めて1分もしないうちに外を囲ってるゴム素材が禿げてワイヤー剥き出しになってしまいました。あと、当たるとめちゃくちゃ痛いので、小さい子の2重跳び成功させるためとかなら別のものの購入を検討して頂いた方が賢明かと思います。

質感、使用感良しだが、留め具の調整が面倒くさい

とても回しやすい縄でした。長さを調節するために切るのが少し大変でした。
