I bought five of these to have on hand during the holidays. They made lovely hostess gifts, a little something to go with the mail lady's tip, a little something for young girls, etc. I also bought a box of long burning (5 hours) tea lights and some holiday cookie bags (clear with snowmen on it), and gave each one with a few extra tea lights on the side. I kept one for myself too, and I think when it's lit it gives off a beautiful glow. It's quite pretty, and makes a nice "little something" gift. It seems to burn pretty steadily too, and seems to pose no risk for the materials catching on fire. (At first I thought the black top part was wood and might burn, but it does seem to be made with some kind of material that's not flammable. So no issue.)

I really like my tea light holders but I believe they are overpriced, they're just made of wood and not weighty at all. They just look cute sitting on my mantle.
