Excellent for embroidery hoops!
I've been looking for something to help hold my embroidery hoop while I worked. Just something to help steady me really. This is perfect! The neck is VERY strong. I have a little trouble bending it but u usually just use the edge of my desk to help. The clamps themselves aren't quite as good. The metal of them is a bit thin and will bend under heavy weight but they do a good job of acrually clamping onto things. I liked it so much I bought a second one to hold a camera so I can start maming embroidery videos.

Use for holding embroidery hoop, works perfect
I attached this to an old wooden stand I had that did not have a way to hold what I needed. I used this contraption to clip to the top, and now use it for holding my embroidery hoops when I stitch in my armchair. The neck is pretty stiff but that means it holds its shape well. The top clip is very strong and the bottom screw tight clip is a able to hold onto flat or round base parts. Highly recommend for stitchers!

A bit too sturdy
I purchased this clamp for use with tabletop photography lighting - mostly small, rechargeable LED lights like the LumeCube, Ulanzi, etc. The parts come separate in the box, just a clamp and a gooseneck, and apparently the gooseneck is unfinished on the bottom with a sharp edge, it didn't cause a problem for me, but others have been cut, according to reviews. You put the gooseneck in the clamp, tighten it up, and voila, a tripod mount on a gooseneck clamp.Really my only problem with this product is that the gooseneck is just too tight and doesn't move easily into position. It's pretty thick (maybe 1/2"?) and when I have it clamped to my work table and try to bend it into an angle that works, my whole table moves because the gooseneck won't give. Maybe with some time and use it will ease up a bit, but at the moment it's a bit of a hassle. For the price and for what it is - a 1/4" light mount at the end of a gooseneck clamp - it is a good deal, just be aware that it might be more difficult to bend and position than you are expecting.

Heavy Duty gooseneck clamps
Great idea... but so stiff...difficult to adjust... might loosen up over time but heavy and so stiff.. wont use enough to find out how long over time will be. One positive is that it can hold a heavy reflector without sagging...Clamps super strong

Could be Used as a Document Holder
Although this was a photographic equipment mounting device, I purchased this item to use as a document holder (probably only one page at a time).I have a roll-top desk, that when rolled open, has about a 5 inch flange running the whole 4 feet of the desk’s widthIt is a simple device; an approximately 22 inch very stiff and very study gooseneck rod and two same-sized sturdy spring clips. They fit over either end of the gooseneck rod and are secured to the flexible rod by thumb screws. In most gooseneck applications the ends are permanently attached to the gooseneck ends, requiring the gooseneck itself to be twisted into the proper configuration for the ends to be useful. By using thumbscrew attachments, you can bend the rod to the configuration/position desired and place the spring clips in their desired positions, attaching them with the thumbscrews without extra stress on the gooseneck.I was curious how much paper a clip would hold when used as a document holder. I grabbed a stack of loose paper (38 sheets thick). The clip held the stack easily and the gooseneck did not drift downward due to the weight.I am very impressed with the design and capacity of this purchase

False advertising. Flimsy clamp, poorly assembled.
This product is advertised as "Heavy duty clamp at one end for attachment to tube or thick object." However, the gooseneck is extremely stiff while the clamp is actually made of very thin weak metal, so the clamp bends out of shape very easily while you are trying to position the gooseneck where you want it. I bought two of these, and there are a couple of small allen screws that hold the clamp to the gooseneck that were loose on both of them, which made this problem even worse if they weren't tightened first before use - assuming you have a set of allen keys around because one is not provided to do this. Even still the clamp proved to be too weak to support anything weighing more than a couple ounces without the whole thing falling out of place, so ultimately this product is completely useless to me. I will be returning them both and spending a little extra to buy a similar model elsewhere that is actually heavy duty.

Great for holding an embroydery hoop
I'm using this double clip clamp to clip onto my lamp pole and my embroidery hoop while I cross stitch. I don't have room for a stand, and my favorite chair is not inclined in a manner that would let me use a lap hoop very well. I'd be bent too far over with my shoulders to backstitch my project for very long. This is a really nice clamp! The clips are strong enough to hold on without needing super strength to set and release them, yet hold up very well. It holds onto the lamp base, or the arms of my chair firmly without slipping. And it hold my wooden hoop firmly by the edge without being so strong as to worry about breaking it.The flexible cable between the clamps is sturdy, holds its shape, yet easy to adjust. I don't have a lot of weight on my hoop, but it holds the hoop exactly where I put it. I love this clamp so far.

This pair of reflector holders is useless for photographic purposes
Based on experience, I second the review by Creek on 4/23/2018. These reflectors have inflexible goosenecks and flimsily make clamps. This pair of reflector holders is very sturdy. They could hold large sheets weighing perhaps 5-10lbs. They come as 20" gooseneck cables with two easily attached bracket ends each. Its a convenient kit that could be broken down for transport. For smaller, studio work like I do, lighter cables and brackets for 2' x 3' foamcore boards would be better. Nothing wrong with this set for its intended purpose, but I'm still looking for what I want.

clamps are awful, gooseneck too stiff
not what I was after. Clamps either were too tight or too loose depending on what i wanted it to hold. The gooseneck was so stiff the clamps would fall off if I tried to bend it a bit more.

Not strong enough
I found this device wasn't strong enough to do what I bought it for. I recently had shoulder replacement surgery. They suggested that I get a clamp like this to dry my hair as I couldn't use my right arm for 6 weeks. The clamp was supposed to hold the hairdryer while I used my left arm for the styling brush. I only used a small travel dryer but it kept bending out of place.
