Kanu Surf Big Boys' Mercury Rashguards

I think these rash guards look great. My son really liked the colors and was actually excited to wear them (usually he's not into it). After reading several reviews I took their advice and ordered a size up thinking I would be good. I actually should have done at least 2 sizes up. My son wears a size 10 shirt which is sometimes even big on him so when I ordered a 12 I was surprised at the size. The product it's self is great, but I feel like someone should maybe adjusting the sizing.So I would like to edit my review. Typically I've had great experience with my purchases. But my most recent purchases have not gone well. After having a sizing issue I ordered 2 new rash guards. The sizing was much better so definitely consider ordering 2 sizes bigger then you normally purchase, but I received completely different colors then ordered. Instead of navy and light blue I received grey and royal blue? Amazon customer service was great about it, but I am disappointed in Swim Time USA.

This swim top for boys is great quality. I purchased it for my 11 year old son who is on the husky side and wears a size 14/16 and it fit as expected. It fits more on the snug side yet it's not skin-tight which he loves because it hides his 'bumps and lumps' as he calls them! He is about 4ft 9 inches tall and the length is just right for him, sitting below the waist so that when he lifts his arms his belly doesn't show. The sleeves fit right above the elbow. The colors are vibrant so it's easy to spot him in a crowd on land or water. The shirt has been washed many times and has maintained its shape and coloring very well. Overall I highly recommend it along with the matching Kanu Surf Mercury swim trunks that I also purchased here on Amazon.

I wouldn't have believed that a rash guard could keep my kid warmer. But the lifeguard assured me that it would help when he was out of the pool waiting for the diving board or walking around. The SPF is a big help too.Color wise, this matches all his swim shorts and looks good. Also, as strange as it sounds, but my kid is the only one in orange (all the others are in blue or white). Makes it easy to see him during his lessons. Has held up well for four weeks of lessons plus free swimming time and the seams are sturdy and color is vivid. Non scratchy inside.Also, he got a chocolate dipped cone ALL over it and it washed out beautifully.

Very nice quality. Thicker material than other rash guards we've bought for him. Less like an athletic shirt because the thickness, cut and feel of it seems like it's for water. I bought an XL 14/16 size thinking it'll be too large for him but I had also bought the Kanu Surf Contrast Swim Shirt at the same time in size 12 so I figure he'll just grow into this Kanu Surf Big Boys' Mercury Rashguard. The other one I bought for him to wear now since he's a size 12.Turns out they both can be worn now. This was not too big for him. In fact, the other one was cut looser. He likes them both.

We had read other reviews and decided to order a size or two up. My son is 7 and wears about a size 10. We ordered a size L/12 and it fits perfect. I actually should have ordered up to the XL so he has time to wear longer. We love the quality and fabric.

This shirt was big for my five year old grandson but he is very slim. He wears it to the beach every week. He has worn it the past year and it is still in great condition.

Nice quality fabric, good length in the torso. Arms are a bit long, but it will provide better sun protection.

The sizing is way off. I bought the XS-6 big boys rash guard for my almost 6 year old and it is far too small. In fact it fits my 3 year old perfectly. I've poured over the sizing charts and I havent made a mistake in ordering. Not sure what I'm missing here since everyone else seems happy with their sizing.
