Changed My Skin & Life!
I question why I didnโt get this product sooner in my life. Seriously. This product has made such a positive change in my skin - I feel like crying. While I have never been officially diagnosed, Iโve always felt that I have a type of rosacea. I donโt get pustules, zits or anything like that (unless I consume a lot of certain sugary drinks, and food) but for as long as I can remember, my face has always dealt with redness. Yes, certain things such as consuming sugar triggers it and makes it worse. Iโve been using skincare since my mid 20s. I am currently in my early 30s. I feel for the most part I was using products that were benefiting my skin, but as far as the redness went, nothing I used seemed to treat it. Around a year ago, I heard about how azelaic acid can be beneficial to people who have rosacea - treating redness and the pustules that go with it. So while I was aware of it, I just kept putting off purchasing it. Life stuff always coming up. After talking with ChatGPT about how sick I was about always walking around with a red/pink face, it recommended azelaic acid. Specifically Paulaโs Choice. Now we all know that with a lot of skin care products it can take time to see differences. No lieโฆ I began seeing results from this within just under two weeks or so. The redness in my face has decreased A LOT. I am now at a point in my life where I feel more comfortable going out without having to wear foundation or using something like Cicapair by Dr. Jart+ (which by the way is great at covering the redness). I am extremely pale, so dealing with a face that was red almost constantly - I felt that the difference between my face and body were so dramatically different, it made me self-conscious. But now? I am much more confident. The redness isnโt completely gone, but when I say it has been dramatically reduced, I mean it! My skin also has this type of glow that Iโve never experienced with other products - not even my tretinoin. I use this product every other day. I have several products I use for my skin and I cycle through them every other day. When I do apply this, like with every other skin care product, I always mist my skin lightly with water. Yes, doing this increases the potency of products but for my skin, I can tolerate it just fine. I also feel that by dampening your skin, the product spread, spreads a lot more evenly and easily. While this is priced at $39 and being only 1 ounce, I know it sounds expensive. But I will say that a little goes a LONG way. You donโt need to be using globs of this stuff. Also, I feel you can get away with using this every other day, like myself, so it can last longer. Everyoneโs skin is different. Like I said, Iโve never been officially diagnosed, but based on what Iโve experienced and what Iโve read, I truly do feel I have some form of rosacea. I also have certain triggers that make it worse; such as consuming certain types of sugary drinks. So I feel that if you identify your specific triggers, use this productโฆ you should see a definite difference. Wish I had gotten this product sooner! I absolutely love it.

โOne of the Best Products for Acne & Dark Marks!โ
I absolutely love this product! Paulaโs Choice Azelaic Acid is honestly one of the best skincare products Iโve tried. With consistent use, Iโve noticed a visible reduction in dark marks and my skin looks much more even. It has also helped reduce new breakouts, which was a big struggle for me. The key is to be consistent, but once you are, the results are definitely worth it. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has been dealing with acne for a long time and feels like theyโve tried everything. This product really made a difference for me.

I don't want to like this!
It is with a heavy heart that I regrettably inform you that this is absolutely worth the price. Yes, it is expensive for the little tube you get, but it has lasted me a couple of months using it both day and night. This might be one of the only products I've ever used that doesn't give me sensory issues. I put it on and don't get a moment of stickiness or a wet feeling like I do with serum options. It doesn't irritate me. I even LIKE putting it on. I've used other azelaic acid serums, TXA, and I have a permanent retinoid in my routine. Adding this has been very effective at reducing a lot of the PIE (red hyperpigmentation) I've had leftover from acne since I was a teenager. It's not hydrating, it's not going to do everythingโ it does one thing, and it does that one thing very well.

Quietly effective brightening for everyday use
This 10% azelaic formula earns a steady spot in my routine. The texture is a light cream-serum that spreads easily and dries down satinโnot matte, not greasyโso it layers well under SPF and makeup. On days with redness or post-blemish shadows, it quietly evens things out; not overnight, but week by week you notice fewer angry spots and a more uniform tone. The touch of salicylic helps keep pores calm, and licorice adds a gentle brightening nudge without the sting of stronger acids. What I appreciate most is how dependable it feels. Morning use keeps my T-zone in check without tightness, and evening use pairs fine with retinoids as long as I moisturize. Fragrance-free is a win, and the tube keeps things hygienic and travel-friendly. I saw the best results using a pea-sized amount after cleansing, then sealing with a simple moisturizer and daily SPF. Expect subtle progress around weeks 3โ6 and continued improvements with consistent use. Itโs not perfect. If your barrier is cranky, it can tingle the first few days and may feel drying on very parched areasโsandwiching with a hydrator helps. It can also pill with heavy silicone primers, so give it a full minute to set. And for deeper discoloration (think stubborn patches), youโll want to pair it with other targeted steps. Overall, this is a reliable, low-drama way to address redness, small bumps, and lingering marks. It plays nicely with the rest of a routine and delivers steady gains without the usual irritation tax.

Works for melasma
While a little pricy, its worth it. I am a natural redhead and have had 6 children. I am not 45 and I have melasma really bad. It has gone from just my forehead to my cheeks now. I ordered this and have been using it for about a week and the color has already faded 2 shades. I feel more confident without makeup, my skin feels amazing. After it has completely soaked in and dried, I follow it up with a very thin layer of pure MCT coconut oil. Very much worth the price.

Product too small
Iโm rating this for the size. It says travel size but i feel like itโs the size you get when you get a freebie. Sadly, itโs too small that Iโll probably be using it 2x or 3x at most. Be wary of the label โtravel sizeโ.

This product is worth it!
For those who donโt want to read my whole review it basically helped my acne scars go away while postpartum and breastfeeding. My skin is sensitive and this hasnโt bothered my skin one bit! Thereโs no stickiness to it, itโs like a cream. I do have dry skin and once the product is on it makes it bit dry but I go in immediately with the la roch posay cicaplast or a good moisturizer. The product itself melts down as soon as you rub it into the skin so itโs not thick or oily. Itโs helped my hyperpigmentation and acne scars! Iโm breastfeeding so I canโt use a retinal so I turned to azelaic acid and itโs been the best choice. In the images that I provided show my acne scars that I once had. This is the only product I use besides moisturizer cleanser and sunscreen. So itโs definitely the product that has helped me.

Paula's Choice containing Azelaic Acid was most recommended.
Works very well. Easy to use with one application, where other products require you to apply 2-3 different products with 5 minute waiting between applications.
