Amazing product. The sand did really stay dry in the water and it is actually sticking when submerged as long you are taking it out it's getting like sand again. Hard to get rid of the water drops once it is out of the water though. Any was it is very fun and nice product. Thank you

Works as it should!
The product behaves exactly how it's supposed to behave: it's highly hydrophobic and repels water remarkably well. I've read the critical reviews and understand the angst regarding not entertaining children for hours, but that's not the intended purpose for this material. It's simply for demonstrating novel materials with interesting properties. An unexpected science teaching/learning moment was presented when a small fraction of the material floated on top of the water (due to the smaller size of the grains) rather than sinking to the bottom, as most of the material did. I'll leave it to you to explain that. There's no plot spoiler here! ;)This isn't a set of Legos, a jigsaw puzzle or a video game. If you want something that will provide hours of engagement to your children, then keep looking. However, if you want to illustrate hydrophobicity as part of a science demonstration or set of demonstrations, then this works wonderfully.

Cool!
Super excited to use this! I tried a little bit out earlier, and it's definitely cool. Although it seemed to be kind of hard to get under the water. So maybe add the sand first and then add the water.

Amazing!
My 5 year old son was totally amazed with this stuff! I recommend doing it outside. It can get everywhere. And I mean it does not disappear is if it does. Haha! Totally worth the mess, fun, and every penny!

Poor Quality
I used to play with magic sand as a kid and this was nothing like it. Poor quality that didn't repel the water properly so not able to separate the water from the sand when storing. It came in a plastic bag so I pulled out a glass jar to store it in and the coating used on the sand stuck to the glass jar I placed it in and water stuck between the sand particles creating breeding ground for bacteria. One use and tossed it. Very disappointed.

Cool!
This is really neat and does what it says it will.I read reviews saying it makes a huge mess and that it is hard to remove from the water. I did not have issues with this. We played with it and once we were done I ran it through a fine mesh strainer and put it in a Tupperware container.Maybe not the best for little ones since it does stick a little to hands. But we would just red...it our hands in the water to get the little granuals off.We put a paper towel in the Tupperware container, for moisture, as well as the strainer. And then all that is inside the acrylic vase that makes a nice see-through container to pour the sand in.

Small amount
Does what it says, however the amount that’s given is no more than an adult handful. Not worth the money.
