Love being able to communicate on our boat
Love being able to communicate on our boat, but have lost two of packs while docking. The cord catches and pulls the receiver pack out of a pocket.

Toy belt clip puts radio at risk.
The radio works as advertised but, the clip on the back does not adequately protect the $150 radio it's attached to. It is all to easy to have them slip off your waist band and into the drink. We have lost two under normal circumstances just picking up a mooring or dropping our anchor. I have a couple handheld VHF radios that were much less expensive but, the belt clip is much more secure. The clips on the back of these radios are more for toys, no hinge, no spring, no grip. Often it seems that battery life is pretty short, less than 30 minutes.

Lost my remote locking thru the Tombigbee two days ago. No bad conditions just a poor belt clip and a very expensive drop in the water. This unit should have a hook on the belt clip to prevent it from coming off sooooooo easily. The whole thing works so well to be marred by such a simple fix to the belt clip. It may work on a horse but not so good on a boat. They should give me a new remote for the trouble caused.

Would be better if batteries held charge longer
We use these to communicate on the yacht and it's great, right up until the battery dies (4-5hrs, which isn't really long enough for most cruises). It also has a tendency to unclip from your waistband or wherever so you have to be careful not to get snagged on anything (already lost one to the Intracoastal).
