USB 2.0 Video Capture Adapter for MAC & Windows /Windows 8

I almost returned this device because it was difficult to get the software to work on my Mac (using MacOS El Capitan). I looked at the instructions and it suggested if you are having problems, uninstall and re-install. That did it. Now the software works fine and I can record my family VHS tapes to digital format. It really does work and works pretty well. The only oddity is that when recording you get this "click this box to end recording" dialog. They really mean to click in the box with those words. None of the other menu items do anything while recording. Not the best user interface design, but hey once you are used to it, it is fine. There are adjustments for brightness, contrast and others but the defaults work fine. You can watch the video being recorded, albeit in a fixed size window. All and all, I recommend it.

Worked great showing itune movies and home movies from my ipad2 to the tv.

This is the second product I have purchased from this company and am totally satisfied with both. The first could only be used for my windows laptop and now I bought this for my MAC , as well. Initially, I was a bit confused by this one, only because the enclosed instruction brochure did not name the software and require a separate installation as did the one for the PC, it installed automatically when the drivers were installed. However, it was "a piece of cake" to install and there is a lot of documentation to help you along, both in the PDF that downloads with the software and then in the very comprehensive instructions in the EZCap program itself. The "easy start" directions (which I realized were provided), were really enough to get me started and I captured and converted two VHS tapes to DVD format rather handily. They turned out perfectly and the quality was excellent. One more thing...and this is really important...you are never on your own! The Customer Technical Support is courteous, prompt, and of course, helpful. I had occasion to speak with two of the support personnel and they were equally helpful. I highly recommend the product and the company that stands behind it. I can now confidently convert all of the family memories I have stored on VHS tapes and share the collection on DVD's with members of my family.
