As the ad says, these are "decorative". We wanted something next to our fireplace to look really nice throughout the whole year, so we bought these. They are beautiful! Each one has a little bit of weight to them, but they're not heavy (I can lift one with one hand, and I have arthritic hands). There are two different sizes you get: some are fatter, some are thinner, but they're all the same length. There is no odor to these. Also, they have a "residue" if you hold one (you'll have a little bit of white powder on your hands). They are the exact birch logs we wanted, and we're so glad we bought them that we're considering buying another box (we bought two boxes already). Fast shipping, and the packaging was excellent (carefully boxed, taped, packed). We're delighted with these logs!!

I'd obsessed over what I'd ordered. Would they look crummy and gnarly? Would they be too big? Too long? And on an on. They arrived today and they are perfect, just beautiful and the right size and length for my fireplace. They really do look just as advertised. I placed them in my fireplace (which is no longer safe to burn in without installing a chimney liner) and decorated the logs with some really cool, battery-operated string of LED lights from Bed, Bath, and Beyond that look like small branches, and it's all beautiful. I highly recommend this product if you're looking for a rustic decorative touch for your home. These are very affordable, but the shipping cost doubles the price, so beware. For me, this time, it was worth it to pay extra. In fact, it all looks so nice and I got raves from the family when they saw it, that I don't intend to use my fireplace for actual fires again.

These were delivered quickly and are very well preserved. Great for a decorative fireplace. No flaking of the bark since getting them out of the box. Love the variety of sizes that are very accurate.

I love the look of these Birch logs with the white bark. I use them in the off season so my black box fireplace has something to accentuate it. I just wish the logs I got weren't all EXACTLY the same size and shape. You can't really stack them in a realistic way. They just all fit in there in a pile like interlocking pieces with no space in between. The picture they provide is pretty true to what it looks like, except my logs look to all be cut from the same limb because they are all the same diameter. Even just a little variation would have gotten 5 stars from me. I will use them again this year.

These are perfect. The white of the birch makes the black hole of the fireplace pop! There was no mold or “green” on the ends of the logs. The bark is flaked like real branches. The 6 logs were the right amount and the sizes were perfect. Couldn’t be happier.

I bought these because I rarely use my fireplace for anything but a few Duraflame Logs each year. This makes the fireplace look elegant for the other 340 days a year, lol. BEAUTIFUL! As other reviewers noted, make sure to measure your firebox and grate for the best fit. I LOVE THEM!

These birch logs worked out perfectly to brighten up a nonworking fireplace that has small glass doors. As others have noted, the logs are cut exactly the same length but have slightly varying diameters. They look very nice stacked.
