Batman: The Brave and the Bold: The Complete Second Season(DVD)Braver. Bolder. Season two of Batman: The Brave and the Bold delivers more of the action you want, as the caped crusader continues to team up with heroes from across the DC Universe in this latest interpretation of the classic Batman franchise from Warner Bros. Animation. Featuring nonstop adventure with a touch of comic relief, Blue Beetle, Green Arrow, Aquaman and countless others uphold justice alongside Batman. Though still based in Gotham, Batman frequently finds himself outside city limits, facing situations that are both unfamiliar and exhilarating. With formidable foes at every turn, Batman must still rely on his stealth, resourcefulness and limitless supply of cool gadgets to bring justice home. With more action-packed antics and characters like Firestorm and Metal Men, season two features the voices of guest stars Julie Newmar (Batman), Adam West (Batman), Mark Hamill (Star Wars, Batman), Paul Reubens (Pee-wee's Playhouse) and Tyler James Williams (Everybody Hates Chris).]]>

Season Two was just as good as Season One
Season Two was just as good as Season One, if not better ! Lots of somewhat funny episodes, evoking the comics of the 1950s, but surprisingly handles the demise of heroes in valiant ways, and even for younger viewers to understand and grasp. Whereas Season One showed the death of the Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) in flashbacks, and again in 'Menace of the Madnicks', you also see a flashback to the death of the Silver Age Black Canary, as well as the death of Thomas and Martha Wayne in 'Chill of The Night'--this episode ALONE is worth purchasing this set, as it casts Adam West and Julie Newmar and Bruce's parents, and both Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy as Spectre and Phantom Stranger, and even had Richard Moll from B: TAS in a supporting role, providing a bit of a reunion, as this episode was written by Paul Dini. Also, you see the tragic and heroic deaths of The Doom Patrol (no Beast Boy, but there is a reference to him), and of B'wana Beast, as he and Vixen are cast as a couple, but he sacrifices himself in 'Starro Part 2', and as a true partner, she sensed when he had given himself up in saving Earth. For a good laugh,Emperor Joker' rocks ! Also, like the reference to many of the legendary comedians as his henchmen. All in all, definitely worth the purchase: have had for about a month, and at least one disc from this collection has been in my DVD player at any time !

This might be the second best Batman cartoon ever
I love the brave and the bold cartoon series but season 2 is probably my favorite season out of the three seasons. This cartoon has everything it has humor it has action it has heart. some of my all-time favorite superheroes appear doing the second season including the Doom Patrol and the formation of the new Justice League which features booster gold Blue beetle fire and ice. What's great about brave and the bold not only does it feature Batman but it concentrates on secondary and third string superheroes throughout the DC universe. A lot of young viewers are not going to recognize some of these classic superheroes but for older fans like myself we know who they are and we love it. I don't think too many twelve-year-olds are going to know who the challengers of the unknown are but they should get to know them that is an interesting group from the DC universe. If you love season 1 of the brave and the bold you're going to love season 2 even more.

Clever and underestimated
Brave and the Bold felt like a dissappointing entry at first compared to The Batman. However it served as both a love letter to silver age comics as well as injecting some humor into the DC universe while also being respectful of a number of issues. It knew it exactly what it was and what is wasn't. Season 2 is perhaps one of my favorites especially the Starro Invasion two parter!

The Dark Knight in a DC Off-Beat, Colorful, Madcap World... What's Not to Love?
This zany Batman series is a love song to all things DC (especially the more off-beat aspects of DC). If you are anything like me, you're probably sick of DC trying to be dark and angsty and messing around with the personalities of classic characters in order to achieve this. Batman: The Brave and The Bold strikes exactly the right balance by having a sort of dark and gritty "noir" style Batman in DC's signature absurd world system. Also, it's a stellar show to have around when there are small children present. You have to love family friendly TV that isn't obnoxious to all the adults in the room!

Batman and friends volume two
Second volume of episodes of the cartoon show batman the brave and the bold. Inspired by a popular old comic - recently revived - that had superheroes who wouldn't normally meet in the course of their stories teaming up, this does the same. Each episode features Batman working with another hero to solve a case. And each will usually learn life lessons in the process. There are four episodes on this disc, featuring Batman meeting Green Arrow, Wildcat and the Outsiders, Deadman, and Blue Beetle. Each runs for roughly twenty two minutes. Some do have a pre credits sequence which will feature another hero entirely from the one who is the main guest star in the story. These sequences tend to be short episodes in their own right as they never tie in with the rest of the episode. The writing on the show tends to be in the style of comics from 1960's in that it's generally light in tone. The Green Arrow episode here features the two heroes time travelling and meeting King Arthur. Just the kind of thing you'd find in a comic of the time. But it's never silly or stupid. The disc the following languages and subtitles:Languages: English CastillanSubtitles: English Castillan Czech Hebrew Polish. There are no extras. But just like the first disc in this series, the four episodes here are entertaining fun that should please Bat fans of all ages.

BRILLIANT
All the Batman Brave and the Bold DVD series that I have purchased have been excellent and have entertained the children for hours. All the characters and stories are well thought out and wonderfully represented in a children friendly way without been too dark as some of the adult versions of the characters have a tendency to be.
