Devine Combien Je t Aime (French Edition)

I have this in both French and English (French version is a little better for reading aloud). Both are truly awesome stories, easy to memorize for the adults and both inspirational and sleep-inducing for the youngsters.

Got this along with several other books for my 1 1/2 year old grandson, who is currently living in France with his American parents. He is very tentatively bi-lingual (tri-lingual, if you count baby sign) and this has become one of his very favorite books. The story and the illustrations are enchanting, and it is one of the few books my daughter doesn't mind reading over and over again, as her baby demands.

I bought this for my toddler, and thought since it's listed as paperback that I'd have to keep it in the cupboard until he's older, but the pages are actually very thick and laminated. Not quite a board book, so I have to watch him with it, but they're thick enough that he's not going to rip it just by trying to turn the pages.Translation is nice, didn't find many discrepancies.

We got this bok because we are trying to teach our 5 yr old some basic French. This book is great for questions and declarations and the repetitive nature of the ryhmes make it easy for the child to learn. Since she knew and loved the english version, this was a great way to learn some french.I recomend this with Ours Brun, Dis-Moi (Brown Bear What Do You See), Bonsoir Lune (Goodnight Moon) and La Chenille Qui Fait Des Trous (The Very Hungry Caterpillar). These are books your child already know by heart and are a great way to introduce a second language to your young child.

The book quality and printing is very good, and the translation seems very close (I am not a native French speaker myself). The story is absolutely lovely, and one of the few to feature a dad rather than a mom. My husband loved to read this (in English) to my daughters when they were little, so it was a sweet gift for one (now a teenager) who is learning French. Very charming in French.

This book is smaller than expected and a thin paperback. About the strength of a collector’s magazine. But otherwise, I just love it!

beautiful classic

I though this was a board Book. Pretty expensive for a thin page book. Plus they shipped many books together and made me pay shipping for each book that was higher than what they paid for the 4 I ordered...Translation is not so great (I have the english one too)

My husband is French Canadian and I wanted this particular book in French for him to read. We have it in English and even a soft book in English and I wanted him to be able to read it to our baby in his native tongue. The book is beautiful, sweet, and sends exactly the right message to a young child. We will use it once baby comes for sure!
