How well do these work over gesso ?

I have not tried gesso. They will color over clear satin glaze (dried), so I would think gesso would work as well.

are skin tones included in the set?

This set does not come with a separate tray with skin tones. However the colors contained within can certainly be used to produce any “skin tone” needed.

Has anyone used these for Doll repaint? Are the pigmented enough?

I haven't used them for doll repainting, but I tried it on cloth and a paper towel just now and it made noticeable, but not vibrant marks. When I scribbled some pencil onto my palette and dipped my brush into it and applied that to the cloth and the paper towel, it was as vibrant as you could want it to be (brilliantly so). When I touched the brush to the tip of the pencil to wet it and then scribbled on the cloth and paper towel, it was also brilliantly vibrant. Keep in mind, though, that these are watercolor pencils, so they're not going to leave permanent marks on your dolls. If that's what you're after, these should work. I can imagine that they would work nicely for adding blush to some cheeks or eye shadow or brows to a doll's face, and you sure get a lot of colors to work with.
