I had this watch for a month now and I love it! Everything works as it supposed to. It receives the time automatically every night with no problem, the alarm is loud enough to use it as a wakeup alarm. I love the barometer, it predicts the weather perfectly. The second time zone is great, the switching between the two time zones is super easy. The thermometer works great, too bad one has to take it off to read accurate temperature but it still is a good feature. The compass works just fine. The moon age is right on, but I am not sure why it only calculates for noon on the particular day but it is still close enough. The tide feature works very well and it is working like a charm to tell high and low tide. Love this feature. I did not use the altimeter feature so far. The watch is totally fine under water, no problems. In cold weather, if I turn it toward the sun while outside, it will collect some condensation under the glass, but once I go inside it clears in seconds. According to G-shock, this is normal and as long as it clears in a couple of minutes the watch is working as it should. The solar feature is awesome, it is wonderful to have a watch and not have to worry about running down the battery or have to take it to have the battery changed. I will only buy solar watches - awesome to use the sun! When I do not wear the watch, I put it in the window, so in the mornings it can charge, I use the alarm every morning and so far I have full charge (H-high) on the battery every day. This is a fantastic watch, the quality is great. It is a large watch, but one gets used to it. Very legible, great colors, full of features, what else could one ask for. Buy with confidence, you will love it!

You'll be G-Shocked by How Good This Watch Is.
This watch is very cool! Much cooler in person than the pictures would suggest. As someone else mentioned, this watch isn't really "white". It's more of a matte dove gray. Whatever the color, it doesn't stand out like the obnoxious sore thumb that some other "white" watches do. Overall the watch is pretty big--just a little bigger than a Rolex Submariner. It's certainly not too big, and definitely not big enough to cause a problem. The watch is very light weight and wears with exceptional comfort. The atomic time function is something that once you have it, you will never want to live without it again --especially if you are overly anal-retentive about the time like I am.The other functions of the watch are just bonuses to me. Altimeter? Cool, I guess. Barometer? That's cool too, and I can actually see a use for it. Thermometer? That would be really cool if it were accurate. Casio should probably figure a way to isolate the thermometer from your own body heat---but that's none of my business. If I had one wish for this watch, it would be for brighter, and longer lasting lume. It's ok if it has been amply charged, but I have worn watches in the past [the Seiko Black Monster comes to mind here] that you could almost read by, And speaking of reading, the secondary back light function is a little anemic on this watch. Don't get me wrong, it does the job--I guess I just expected something brighter. At the end of the day this is a stylish, comfortable and feature-packed watch that never needs a battery or winding (solar) and always keeps meticulous time (atomic time). Several of the features of this watch can also be found on my phone, but my phone is not solar and could die on me one day. This watch on the other hand, will keep on going long after the phone is dead.If you are on the fence about white, fear not. The watch looks great. If you need a watch with the functions and benefits I just described, you could do a whole lot worse than picking up one of these babies.

Pretty awesome watch
Pretty awesome watch, comfortable, good looking, filled with features. I gave 4 stars because the aluminum bezel isn't protected and is prone to damage.

Looks cool, but FAIL!
Everyone goes into orgasmic raptures over this watch. It has a ONE HOUR stopwatch-useless for hiking, driving, touring, sailing, almost any activity! It has a ONE HOUR countdown timer, which you can set in one minute increments only. You can't even time a 3½ minute boiled egg!! USELESS. Sure, it looks cool, but from a practical point of view, is... FAIL!

Not Prefect
There are many fine reviews of the watch here, and I agree with most of them. The watch looks monstrous but it wears very well. It's quite comfortable and looks good.It took about an hour of reading the manual and playing around with it to figure out the menu and settings layout. After a bit of fidgeting, it's somewhat intuitive and quite genius what the folks at Casio were able to achieve.Unfortunately, I discovered that my unit's LED backlight was defective. It would not turn on in either auto or manual modes. With Amazon's easy return procedure, it was a breeze to take care of.The 3 star rating is for the defect. Otherwise, I would have rated it a 4 (the band is not replaceable).

Great, with some quirks.
Been on my wrist for 18 months now. Works flawlessly still. Altimeter is not that accurate and probably shouldn't be relied upon for anything other than curiousity. Thermometer is affected by body temperature so watch needs to be off wrist for a while to get an accurate reading. Use of some settings is not really intuitive and Casio really need to make their user guides more user friendly. Sturdy, have used for surfing regularly and no issues at all with use in the water. Still looks as good as it did new and I'm hard on watches. Had to deduct a star because the metal band clasp continuously moves on your wrist and either leaves too much band 'flapping' or slides off it altogether. Wish there was a fix for this.
