I own one of every light that Elzetta makes. ...
I own one of every light that Elzetta makes. All of them are premium lights that are completely reliable. As an EDC light, this is hard to beat. 415 lumens when you need it or hours of useable light for emergencies. This is the light I bought for my wife to carry in her purse. When safety is a concern and it absolutely must work, I'm not willing to compromise. I'm an enthusiast and have a huge collection of lights. These are the ones that I rely on.

I was hoping for a smaller flashlight with “dual click” tail cap functionality
I was in the market for a high quality flashlight that I can conceal everyday comfortably without noticing, with similar functionality to my Surefires. The Elzetta Alpha is very well made and the quality is immediately noticeable. First thing I noticed was the fact this flashlight is about the same size of a standard Surefire, which I was trying to avoid. The second thing that I disliked is that you have to unscrew the tailcap to use the low beam otherwise you’ll be using the high beam by default. Excellent quality if you dont mind dealing with unscrewing the tail cap to have a low beam.

Alpha Square beam Pattern
I bought an Alpha off a dealer on Amazon and returned it . The beam pattern was very square at all distances. I also own a Bravo the has a fantastic beam ! I contacted Elzetta directly and they stated that there was nothing wrong with it. I have seen other people complain about the same problem on Candlepower Forums.
