High quality rack
The Tripp Lite 9U Wall Mount Rack has been a rock-solid addition to my home server setup, and I couldn't be happier with its performance. It's discreetly mounted in my master bedroom closet, making it an ideal space-saving solution for my networking and server equipment. What stands out most about this wall mount rack is its sturdiness. I've taken the extra precaution of securing it directly to the studs, and it's passed a rather unconventional stress test โ I tested its load-bearing capacity by hanging from it, and I weigh 220lbs. The rack held up without a hitch, showcasing its robust build and reliability. This level of confidence in its durability ensures that my networking gear and server equipment are safe and secure. If you're in need of a dependable, space-saving solution for your home server, the Tripp Lite 9U Wall Mount Rack is a fantastic choice. It combines strength, reliability, and practicality, making it a solid investment for any tech-savvy homeowner.

A great value.
This is for the 9RU version. There's no ability to swing out the unit and access the back like the larger ones (for informational purposes). The unit is sturdy, painted well, and easy to mount. I mounted mine on a foundation wall. The mounting plate that gets attached to the wall first make installation much easier. Attach the plate, then hang the unit. The access for cords/cables from above or below is helpful. The provided rack screws and nuts are a thoughtful addition. Indeed, someone determined could break through the removable side panels or front door, but it would take them a little time. Perhaps enough to make a thief go after an easier target. The removable panel (via screws) on the top or bottom are large enough for someone to snake an arm in and remove anything not bolted to the frame and small enough to fit through the hole. I'm using this at home to house as GbE switch, 24-port patch panel, my CAT5e cabling, UPS, cable company router, and 4-drive NAS. There more than sufficient room. I'm very pleased.

Great Quality Product
I've installed several of these boxes, and this brand specifically, that always work well in the spaces I design. I've very pleased with the build quality and materials. The "square" rails are a bit odd - but they work once you fiddle around with them. Fairly lightweight and reliable. Have yet to have a problem. It should be noted that you should pay specific detail to the size of your devices, and in particular, battery backups. I had one that was just too big and ended up changing my plans entirely. Great network box. Recommended.

Great case!
It's a great case. The back being left open makes it very easy to access what is behind and is especially helpful to access the wall. The open back and removable sides allow the access needed to fish wires through the wall after the box has been mounted. The overall design is very good. The rack rails are adjustable and the cage nuts and screws are more than adequate. The reversible front door is a nice feature as well. It has a generous amount of space. Cons: The little plastic pieces that the front door hinges go in got squished in one of the rackmount enclosures that I bought. Overall, this is a great enclosure that is worth the money. Tips: Be sure to slightly bend out the metal clips on the mounting bracket so that the enclosure will fit over them and hang. Afterwards, adding lag bolts and washers is easy. I mounted to a plywood wall so I didn't have to worry about beams.

great -- but plan what depth you need
All the reviews about the built quality are spot on -- this is a great, solid unit at an affordable price. Being an amateur, I discovered that while the rack width is standardized, their depth is not. The 9U rack is not deep enough to accommodate most servers. I only discovered that after I had already mounted a bunch of equipment and wanted to add a rack-mount Synology NAS or a small Dell server. The Synology is about 18 inches deep and servers require often 24 to 29 inch with some exceptions (for example the Dell R220 that may fit). Nothing against the rack -- I should have done more research up front.

Wall Rack, not a Wall Wrack
These are well designed wall racks with plenty of removable panels and options including fans, among others. It is easy to get the size you want for the job you are doing (there are several sizes) and the features make it easy and one you have to "wrack" your brain over. Do know that you should make sure the depth of what you will be putting in the rack is a consideration. Full depth devices (Like 1 or 2U servers or full sized routers) might be too deep for the smaller racks.

Excellent Wall Mount Rack
Excellent wall mount 9U rack. Well designed. Very strong. I have bought several of these. They are my choice for small business installations because they are easy to install with wall mount bracket, very configurable and lockable. Suggest buying a shelf if you have anything such as a modem, security appliance, router, etc. that needs to go inside.

Excellent value, great quality, and a fine rack
This is a great rack. The value for money here is incredible, especially given the premium that rack-oriented gear usually goes for. I've been using mine, with the optional casters, for over a year. I use it with a shelf, holding my cable modem, an Airport Extreme, and a Time Machine drive. Everything else is 1U rackmount systems including router, switch, server, and UPS. I am adding another UPS soon. Even with a NAS in the bottom, there is still room for me to add another UPS (but that will be the last thing I'm able to fit in here). The only thing I can think of to mention is that this uses M5 cage nuts. I made the mistake of buying M6 nuts before and they simply do not fit. So a word to the wise there.

This smaller rack is perfect for a network lab and a server or two
This smaller rack is perfect for a network lab and a server or two. Fit my needs exactly and it's great quality. Switch depth rack, so my Nortel 5520 hangs out a bit on the back end, but nothing unexpected.
