The Trumpet of the Swan

This is one of my favorite movies when I was a child. I'm the same offer that did Stuart Little and Charlotte's Web I enjoyed reading the books from that series. It was my childhood favorite and I loved it as a child. Still watching it now I still love this phone. The story is simple it's basically Trumper Swan who can't trumpet. Or basically cannot talk. And how he has to learn how to try to talk to other people or characters or mostly try to impress this girl Swan that he likes name Serena. It has a lesson the characters are fun and the Grey movie overall. However if you have read the book it will not hold true to the book at all. Like most movies that has never changed. It's very rare when movies are very similar to the book. Even Bambi which is not considered classic is not the same as the book. Is that always a bad thing? Nope. As long as the changes they made we're good changes. But this one is not one of them. Or someone who seen this a long time ago this is a great movie for me but if you are wants to see if it's adoption to the book tonight tell you to stay clear of this movie. I disagree with the critics and say the art style may not be the greatest but it's definitely not the worst. To me I believe it's pretty underrated considering there's a lot of other bad movies out there and the animation four 2D hand-drawn has now died off now it's now causes to watch nothing but 3D animation. Which I really truly do miss hand-drawn animation. Not even Disney goes back to do hand drawn animation anymore. The songs are okay I specially love love song at the end. I still to remember it to this day. The characters are fine. So don't go into this film expecting a masterpiece for it's definitely not one of them and maybe not the best either. But if you're just looking to watch a fun kids movie and you haven't read the book that I would say give it a shot.

This movie really caught me by surprise when it was freely available to Prime members. You would think it is just another book adaption of a children's story loaded with star actors to do the voices in an effort to turn profit. However it is far more than I, or anyone, may have ever expected.Louie's father, despite being over-the-top, exemplifies a father who doesn't give up on their child. Seldom do you see a parent and child character interact in a way like Louie and Louie Jr. do. Sure, as a parent, it is hard to see your child have to struggle with something everyone else takes for granted, but Louie's dad stands by his son and knows his child need only the right tool to be like everyone else.There are lots of lessons and, most importantly, setbacks. However little Louie shows how a caring family, true friends, and self-esteem can make a real difference.

My two children ages 3 and 4 love this movie. In fact, this is one that they routinely watch, rewind and watch again (when I let them). I have sat down and watched this movie several times over and still enjoy it.This doesn't follow the original book very well. If you are someone that believes a movie has to follow the book word for word you will be dissapointed. However, if you can get past that, you will enjoy this book.Louis a trumpeter swan is born unable to talk. He falls in love with Serena and can't court her. He goes to school and learns to read and spell and write. However, as other swans can't read it does him very little good. In the meantime his father gets a trumpet for him. Louis learns to talk through the trumpet and music.This is a classic video. It is well done. I have read reviews for the dvd that say there is poor pictures and audio. This is not the case for the VHS tape we have at our house.This movie is about relationships between parents and friends and husbands and wives. It is about music and love and more.Well worth the money.Enjoy.

The Trumpet of The Swan is my favorite among novels for children and, although I recommend reading the book if you haven't, this movie rendition was well done with beautiful animation and music, and meaningful messages about acceptance, love, and integrity. I particularly enjoyed Jason Alexander and Mary Steenburgen as mother and father. Jason was so funny with his over-the-top theatrics -- in perfect contrast and blend with Mary's warm, calm, intelligent, and accepting presence. Awesome performances all around!

Una película bella como fábula, llena de sensibilidad. En las escenas del cisne trompetero recrean hermosos temas musicales, en donde el tema de "la marcha de los santos" da realce a la escenografía animada con cuadros naturales y románticos que recrean una aventura con mensaje positivo que el mundo infantil requiere ante la importancia de la fantasía con un final feliz.Gracias Amazón

After not seeing this movie since I was a little kid. I decided to buy it and rewatch it to see if the movie still holds up as an adult. And for the most part it still does besides for some dumb scenes in them. The movie is about a Trumpet Swan named Louie who's born with no voice. He can't sing or anything to attract a mate. He litterally has no voice. So he meets and becomes friends with a human boy at a camp. The boy and his old 1st grade teacher help Louie out with teaching him how to write and read. And once he's grown up and knows that he goes to show his swan family that he can read and write. But that's the dumb moment is that him thinking swans can read and write. But when Louie shows them his words. They don't get it because they can't read. But of course they can't read they're swans for peace sakes. But they play that scene out as if we gotta feel bad for Louie. But during that Louie's dad gives him a trumpet for his voice so he plays the trumpet like a god and gets famous from it. Yeah the movie in my opinion is pretty good but just has dumb moments like what I mentioned. But if your looking for a good movie for the family or like me who's a 2000s kid wanting to rewatch a movie they watched when young. I highly recommend it.

I think that this film was very good. I thought the story was really beautiful. Even though this film was probably from the 90s, it is still great.
