South Shore Ulysses Full Bookcase Headboard Fall Oak

I'm a CPAP user and I wanted a bookcase headboard where I can store the CPAP machine and tuck away the hose each morning for a nice, tidy setup. I could only find one other manufacturer that offered something like this and it was $600 and came in Queen/King and I wanted full size. The South Shore Bookcase headboard arrived and there were no damaged parts or missing pieces. Instructions were fairly easy to use, as always, they could use more basic text explaining what the pictures and arrows and finished/unfinished sides mean. But each part was marked clearly and assembly took maybe 45 minutes. It looks really good for the price, and the sliding bookcase doors are gold. The center section has a hole to pass an electrical cord, I drilled a hole in each of the other compartments too. I would have like the depth of the bookcase compartments to be maybe 2" deeper, in a perfect world, but overall, this is a good piece of furniture.

I downsized from a king to a full sized bed so I would have more room in my bedroom. This head board looks great and has all the space I need for books and my electronics that my king size headboard had. It was easy for this 66 year old handicapped woman to assemble. Did I mention IT LOOKS GREAT

Several major pieces came damaged cosmeticaly but useable. Many extra attachment pieces.

There was a defect in the back board, it was slightly broken. Thankfully, it isn't visible. Also no real way to attach to a regular bedframe. It has the tiny brackets to attach it to their bed frame that has under bed storage.

Easy to assemble

Great headboard- love the sliding doors for hidden storage. We did not bolt ours to the wall or the bed frame but it’s wide and deep enough that we didn’t feel like we needed to. Install was not bad - completed by one person with very little assistance from a second person. Very happy with our purchase!

We bought it to go with the bed base and dresser. The look is exactly what we wanted and assembly was easy enough as long as you pay attention to the parts

First of all, I was unaware that it was for a platform bed. I had just gotten rid of my platform bed because I prefer a bed that is more traditional. I am trying to find a way to make this headboard work with my bed because I do like the finish so much.

I found this headboard to be a great addition to my room! It looks terrific and feels sturdy. I will have this piece for years to come. It arrived ahead of time during the pandemic which was a nice surprise! Be warned though, it is not easy to build. It takes a lot of time. But in my opinion once it is done it is worth it, and it is only a one time thing.The instructions were clear but for 1 thing. The headboard will come with a small white piece of paper. They are actually adhesive pads and they break up into 4 smaller pads, so don't throw those out! I thought it was just the one pad until I caught sight of it in the light and saw the outlines of the 4 smaller pieces.Overall, great headboard! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for something rustic that has storage. The hole for cable management in the center of the headboard is also a great addition! Great little cherry on top of what is already a good headboard in my opinion.

This is a well build, easy to assemble bed head. you won't be disapointed.
