To clarify, for anybody looking to purchase this:A) Definately not a voice reminder. There is an audible noise that plays when rotating, but it is NOT a voice. Nor can it be turned off or changed.B) Must have 360° clearance. The COVER rotates, not the feeding dishes. If you expect your pet to be able to eat from one spot, be aware they have to circle around this thing for each feeding. Not very convenient for space if the dish would normally be against a wall. And this thing is huge but I guess that part is expected.C) This can only be cleaned by twisting the chambers away from the base and popping the cover off. Not sure how many times the cover will go back on before it breaks.Operates on 3 AA batteries installed under the unit and does the job if you don't mind everything mentioned above. I would invest in a better unit but since I will be gone before being able to receive another delivery, this will have to do for now.

The product works easily by programming your feeding interval for meal 2-6, however the key bullet within the product info is FALSE . There is a permanent feeding without the ability to lock out. That means you only have 5 covered and timed feedings available with the 6 the compartment OPEN for immediate feeding or leave it empty. I purchased this with the misleading statement that all feedings are timed and that this does not have an open compartment. It should have stated that it does have an open compartment. Other than that,it works consistently. I can peek to see how long before the next feed and the way to remember you need to refill is by the position of the last 5th feed. The opening starts due south (6 o'clock position) and the pet moves in counterclock direction for each feed until the last reaches the 7 o'clock position. (SW). Also the compartments are also marked with a raised number.

Like someone mentioned in another review: the cover rotates (not the plate), so you gotta position the plate based on how your room/furniture is structured so the dish isn’t facing a wall when the cover changes gears, so your pet isn’t struggling to reach the open dish. So far, plates 1, 2, 3, and 6 have been really useful. If I’m gonna be away and need the 4th dish to be accessible, I text me roommate asking them to shift the plate around. It’s not as complicated as it sounds, but if your room is structured like mine and if you’re going away for more than 3 days at a time, it does require some strategic planning.Someone also touched on the delicacy of the cover when removing it to fill up the dishes or clean it, which I totally get. I squeeze my eyes and pray for the best lol. So far the key has been to be as gentle and patient when removing it. I could see it really breaking if you force it off with speed.Lastly, if this were shaped rectangularly with the same cover-shifting concept, it would be awesome! And if no one else has brought this up, I’d want a portion of the sales if my concept did come to fruition :)

The mechanical function is fine. Two things made it unsuitable for me. First, it only has a simple countdown timer. You can’t program it for a particular time of day, you can only set the amount of time until the next serving of food is available. I wanted to be able to set it for, say, 7pm and 3:30am every day. Another problem was, it plays a little tune to call the cat, which is fine, but it’s very quiet and you can’t adjust the volume. My house has two stories, she needs to be able to hear from wherever she is in the house.

Perfect solution for our begging kitty! I only gave four stars however since the directions were sparse and I worry about how long I can snap/unsnap the lid without wearing out the latches. Apparently that’s the only way to clean and add food. So we will see. Hopefully it lasts a long time

I bought this to replace a similar product. It was a little cheaper than my prior feeder so I thought I'd save a little. Product arrived and was as described. The directions for setup used poor English, so it was initially a little confusing. You CANNOT turn off the music. I figured it wouldn't be a big deal. I set it up to feed every twelve hours. Originally, it dispensed the food at 6am and 6pm but has slowly pushed later and later so that now, 1 month later, it feeds at 10 am and 10 pm. This is NOT something I wanted, especially with the creepy music it plays.It IS consistent and I don't ever have to do anything but fill it.

This stopped working after a couple months, I’ve done everything to try and fix it. Very disappointing.

I purchased this for short trips out of town and for scheduled feedings for my pets. It does well for a couple of feedings, then it starts loosing time. even with battery replacement with new batteries several times. Our pets let us know when it is time to eat (6 am, 6 pm) and the variance is drastic, an hour or so by the time all 5 reservoirs are emptied.
