A Little Skittle Spittle

When I was growing up, I had always thought that trolls were mean – and I also thought that they ate nasty things, oh I don’t know, like people! However, Patt Hatt has cleared things up for me and my young son. It turns out, those green little (or big) guys love to eat skittles!This fun book tells us all about how to properly feed a troll – again, not humans, but skittles! The entire book rhymes all the way through, which my kid absolutely loved. He always loves it when a book rhymes like this, and he made me read it to him multiple times before he had had enough. The only problem was the fact that he wanted some skittles himself once we were done!The illustrations, as always in Patt’s books, are very colorful and bright – they really caught my sons attention and he wanted to see each picture as I read the book to him.So, again, if you’re looking for a book that is a fun book to read to your kids, and they love bright illustrations and fun rhymes – then this is a book that you should pick up and read to them. If they’re anything like my son, they’ll love it and ask you to read it over and over again – while asking you to go buy skittles.

"A Little Skittle Spittle, is a great read for kids. My nephew loved it when I read it to him. It turns out trolls eat skittles. We didn't know that. We didn't know that there was rules we had to follow to feed trolls, but Pat Hatt's book informed us just what we could do, and couldn't do when feeding those pesky trolls. This book has colorful pictures that I adore, they really appealed to the child in me. It is another rhyming book which is typical with this author. Everything, (pictures and rhyming) was very simple and easy to read. Great read.

Pat Hatt’s ‘A Little Skittle Spittle’ is a beautifully illustrated children’s story about a boy who is instructed on how to feed a troll. In this story trolls love skittles but you have to know how to feed them just right.The story rhymes the whole way through, which my children absolute love. It makes them smile and laugh as they are entertained by the colorful pictures on every page. The pictures are friendly and inviting making it suitable for all ages. The story is fun and ends on a positive and uplifting note. This is a new bedtime storybook favorite for my family. I highly recommend it!
