Same as original, Andersen blister card, new, perfect, solid construction, works great! As pictured, Andersen calls this RH!!
Some Q&A's and reviews have this mixed up, so let me clarify for you: This is as pictured, for a RH Andersen casement window, with the locks on the Right Hand side when you are looking out. That means the hinges and the handle you turn are on the left when you are looking out, and the window swings out from the right over towards the left side like when a RH batter swings a baseball bat. Ok? Ok. Instructions gave me a laugh, though: Says to "use the larger replacement screws in the package instead of the original screws". Nice, makes sense, because replacement screws that are a little larger than the originals will snug up better in dried out old wood, right? Except that their shiny new screws are actually *SMALLER* than the old original ones! Useless!! So DO NOT TOSS YOUR OLD SCREWS, you're gonna want to use them over! Seemed a tad rough to operate the first time or two opening & closing, but gears come well greased and once that stuff works its way around the parts it works just as smooth as a baby's... well, you know. Sturdy and perfect. Thank you to seller "Window Parts", well done lads.

Excellent!
Needed this to replace one on window installed 30+ years ago when no amount of tinkering worked. Window would crank open, but not close. After seeing a tutorial on how to do the job, decided to order it via Amazon and give it a try. Was very careful removing the bottom wooden molding but once that was accomplished, removal of old part and installing new one was quite easy and straightforward. The gears came already lubricated, but needed to apply white lithium grease to channel for smooth, seamless operation. Delighted with the result! I am a 70 year old fairly handy DIYer who is quite patient to take my time on projects. This entire one took less than 30 minutes from start to finish and included the time to carefully release the molding which had to be set free from polyurethane via a utility knife and putty knife, followed by using a small, narrow chistle to ease up 3 finishing nails.

I used my bench top jig saw and a hand file to carefully remove the plastic obstructions from the new operator cover to achieve
The new operator replacement fits and performs perfectly. However, the new supplied operator cover did not fit into my 1975 "old style" window sill stop. I tried to use the original operator cover but it doesn't fit over the new operator. I had to choose between trimming wood from the sill stop or trimming plastic from the new operator cover. There is very little wood where I would have to trim the sill stop for the additional clearance needed to fit the new operator cover so I opted to trim the plastic operator cover. I spent about an hour modifying the new operator cover to fit into my original sill stop. I used my bench top jig saw and a hand file to carefully remove the plastic obstructions from the new operator cover to achieve the perfect fit. The second operator installation went much quicker having already established what had to be trimmed from the new operator cover. New replacement sill stops are available. I don't know if replacing the old sill stop with a new sill stop enables the new style operator cover to fit the new sill stop without any additional modification. Replacing a sill stop is much easier than trimming the new operator cover and a better choice for ease of repair.

Easy fix
just purchased and used 3 of these.. This replacement part works just like the window's original and was super easy to install (but as suggested by other reviewers, do re-use your old longer screws to install as the new ones sent with this product are way to short). Was a bit disappointed that the glide foot that runs on the window's sash bottom edge track is still being made from plastic as this is what had failed on 2 of the 3 windows I needed to fix (and looks like the new plastic is not as substantial) . Did not need to replace the straight track on the bottom of each window sash so including this piece in the product package seems a waste of resources, (omit this piece and then improve the plastic foot, or lower the price). Overall this product sure beats replacing the entire window unit, glad it was available!

Exact fit for 1970s casement windows; crazy price though
Great factory replacement for 1970s Andersen window operators. Comes with everything you need and the quality is fair. Definitely room for some improvements but I donโt see them making them after all these years. Price is pretty outrageous - I will shop around before buying here again.

Exact replacement for my Andersen case windows.
Exact replacement for my Andersen case windows. Yes, it's kind of pricey, but it fit exactly right. You have to be very careful removing the piece of trim prior to getting at the operator screws. Take your time, use a strong putty knife to help raise the trim and you'll do fine. You may have to straighten or remove some of the old nails holding the trim in place. When ordering, be careful of your left and right. A left operator means the window catch is on the left side of the window and the operator is installed on the right side. Clear as mud? Study the drawings carefully I saw there were some knock-off brands, but I'm glad I went with the OEM.

Biggest challenge was gently removing the wood over the failed arm operator
The cove moulding over the straight arm operator is attached with four finishing nails. Then the window was painted with high quality semi gloss paint. I used a utility knife to cut the paint around the cove moulding, and then inserted a flat wide putty knife to gently lift up the cove moulding. Once I determined where the nails were, I used a very thin pry bar to raise the moulding up evenly. Once I could remove it, it was simple to unscrew the old an attach the new operator. I did reuse the original screws as the supplied new ones are thiner and shorter than what I took out. I also reused the existing slider arm on the window, and did not replace it with the one supplied in this kit. There was no need to unclip the plastic housing over the operator, as the screws fit right into this.

You need it be happy you can get them
I was thrilled to find these parts for my 45 year old Anderson windows. They were very expensive. $85 each and I needed two. The other option was to replace the whole window. That would have cost a lot more.
