Basic Adult All-in-One Course CD for Level 2

As others mentioned, it is hard to hear the piano track with the accompanying rhythm section being so loud. The quality of the piano and the recording is also pretty ...well, "eh"...Fortunately I noticed that it said on the CD that the accompanying/rhythm was on the LEFT channel, and the piano was on the RIGHT channel. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with playing it thru my laptop at the piano.But if you have some audio mixing tools on your computer, it's not hard to do a remix. I brought in the AIFF files into After Effects (use any video editing tool of your choice), and first bumped up the overall Levels 6dB (all the tracks are really quiet, and this just optimized them just short of clipping). Ihen used the Effect > Audio > Stereo Mixer effect to mix the Left Channel to 25% and the Right Channel to 150%. Since the metronome at the beginning is only in the left channel, I animated the left channel from 150% to 25% for the first two measures. I saved that setup as an animation preset. I dragged all the AIFF files into their own comps, applied the preset, and only had to adjust the second keyframe for the left channel (anywhere from 15% to 50% depending on the balance in the original). Saved all the comps with another preset to another AIFF 44.1kHZ, adding "_remix" to the name.Now I can play the remixed version first, until I get it down, then the original. It's a bit of a pain, but it makes it useful.

Helps with rhythm, but pieces are played by an ensemble, rather than piano, so it does not totally match the book for which it is a companion. Glad that I bought it, but would suggest revision for piano.

On time arrival like level 1. Packaged in very good condition. New case and CD.

I was thinking the cd would coincide with the book. Had no idea what page they were on. Would not buy again

This CD was helpful to know how the music should sound. For those starting to count, or to use piano or forte, it was great. Did I get my allotted words in yet?
