From the moment we opened it, it was clear that this story would be a holiday staple for years to come. The book’s whimsical and playful illustrations capture the attention of young readers, and the story itself is filled with delightful humor and heartwarming moments. My child loves the adventures of the crayons and their festive antics, often giggling at their silly antics and interactions. The interactive elements, like letters and pop-ups, add an extra layer of engagement that keeps her entertained from start to finish. What truly makes “The Crayons’ Christmas” special is how it combines the spirit of the holiday season with a fun and creative narrative. My little one enjoys flipping through the pages on her own, “reading” the story with excitement, and asking us to read it to her at bedtime. It has become a cherished part of our family’s Christmas tradition. Overall, “The Crayons’ Christmas” is a fantastic addition to any child’s bookshelf. It’s a book that brings joy, laughter, and a touch of holiday magic, making it a must-have for families looking to share the wonders of the season with their young ones. Review: Crayons are back and so much fun! - This book is adorable! The original The Day the Crayons Quit book was a huge hit in our house and so was the sequel The Day the Crayons Came Home. Our kids love those books and they were so fun that my husband and I still enjoyed reading them again and again. I was excited at the prospect of a new Crayons book but also worried about whether or not it would be any good since I was pre-ordering it sight unseen. It arrived yesterday along with a chapter book I had pre-ordered for my son that is a sequel he has been eagerly waiting for. When he saw the books he immediately wanted to read this one first and was very excited about a new Crayons story. I insisted he wait until closer to Christmas but I couldn’t help opening it up to check it out. It was immediately so funny that I had to read him a few pages that had me chuckling and him asking what was so funny. It was really hard not to read every page! The book begins with Peach Crayon receiving a letter. As you may recall poor Peach Crayon was left naked and quite embarrassed about the fact that he had no wrapper. His parents have sent him a card with clothing which includes a cut out of Peach Crayon and different outfits which will be seen throughout the book. I told my son Orange and Yellow Crayons were still arguing about colors and he immediately asked if they were melted together as they were last and was pleased that they were. We love that the characters continue their stories and the running jokes from earlier books. There are lots of new fun things like Beige Crayon’s Dad’s World Famous Top Secret Gluten-Free Cookies and Hot Chocolate, which is included on a recipe card complete with helpful instructions that say to go to the store and buy cookies and cocoa mix. My son thought that was hilarious. There is also a Crayon who is Jewish. One of the cards includes a game to play which keeps up the jokes. There is even a pop up Christmas tree. We are very excited that the Crayons are back and at their best and will be joining us for Christmas. There are lots of fun envelopes to open and this book is sure to be a hit with fans of the previous books. If you have stumbled on this book without having read the first two you should start with the first one as the story of the Crayons continues in each book and becomes fun running jokes or do the kids in your life a favor and buy all three.

Ohh, I love it! Very sweet holiday book from the crayons.
I didn't know what to expect when I pre-ordered this, but we love the first two crayon books so I was willing to give it a go. I'm impressed! This book is sweet, fun, and full of exciting "gifts." It's also a nice way to see our favorite crayons again (like Yellow & Orange, Peach, Beige, Esteban the Magnificent) -- it's like a holiday visit with old friends. This is one of those books where every-other page is an envelope and you get to pull various items from each envelope as the story progresses. These include: <<SPOILERS>> -a crayon paper doll and outfits (Adorable - want to see a crayon in a snow suit? Buy this book.) -8 paper ornaments (including a new crayon friend, Silver, and a new candy cane character) -a "recipe" card (hilarious) -a Hanukkah card and paper dreidel (I don't know how well it will work when we fold and tape it together, but I love the idea) -a game board (think Candy Land, but with crayons) - you'll need your own 6-sided die and movers. -a map All in all, this is a cute, fun book that I know my children will love. We're always excited to add to our Christmas picture book collection, and this is a wonderful addition. It's a little shorter and a little lighter on plot than the first two crayon books, but the activities and the humor more than make up for it.

Super fun book to read and work with
My daughter has read every single story about Duncan and his crayons friends, and she loves all of them. Adorable and humorous! And this crayons Christmas book is a love plus A+++ since the arrangement of the content actually allows readers to be part of it. There are crafts, games, cards and all other fun stuff related to Christmas. Very lovely! It's more like a combination of cute little picture book and activity book. And it's also very much giftable. Would highly recommend it.

Great Christmas Book filled with Surprises
purchased for my son who was a fan of the crayons when he was a toddler. We have to say it picks up where the stories begin. We loved the extras and were excited and surprised to see what each envelope had inside. The story is so cute and the extras make the reading fun. Would definitely purchase as a gift for a crayon fan. My son did say that you wouldn't know what any of it meant unless you had read the prior books - day the crayons quit and crayons came home.

A great Christmas book from a beloved series!
What I Loved: My family enjoys ALL the Crayons books. They are adorable and each crayon has its own personality that is consistent from book to book. All of our favorite crayons are back in this book to celebrate the holidays. The story takes us through different holiday scenarios and our favorite thing was that there were envelopes every few pages with a letter or postcard or game inside. The kids really enjoyed opening the mail on these pages. To Read or Not To Read: This book is a must read for anyone who loves the Crayons series, and if you haven’t discovered this series yet and you have little ones, you should absolutely check it out! The book is perfect for a pre-k to middle elementary school child. What's This Book About Anyway? The crayons at Duncan’s house are getting ready for the holidays. Mail arrives and they enjoy reading post cards from crayons still traveling or opening up a game to play. They celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas as they take us through their Holiday journey.

Family Favorite for Now 5 Christmas
Loved by our kids for now 5 Christmases. Started as a preschool favorite, still being enjoyed by the elementary aged kids. Just purchased this copy, since it comes with goodies: letters, games, ornaments, a poster, and a pop-up Christmas tree! Hardcover priced $11.60 at time of order and review. Absolutely worth it, since it comes with so many extras. Review for The Crayons' Christmas Hardcover – Picture Book, October 15, 2019 by Drew Daywalt (Author), Oliver Jeffers (Illustrator)

An incredibly cool book. My kids love it—especially the little notes hidden inside and even the included board game.
