From beginners to seasoned shavers don’t miss a chance to own a great razor
Where to start with this one, well since I was about seven years old I have been using straight razors. My mother who is a retired cosmetologist is the one who taught me how to shave myself and with her teaching and by learning through trial and error I have become quite good using a straight razor, and also being able to judge the Quality. At a price of only 20$ you just can’t go wrong. For people who have never used one and are wanting to get into the Art of shaving with a straight razor to a professional barber, or hairstylist you cannot go wrong. The blades are extremely sharp and well-made and in my opinion it is all that much more worth it and a very much added bonus that they give you 100 of them. I strongly recommend that you give this product a try, You won’t regret it. Remember for those of you who have never use the straight razor to be very cautious make sure you know your surroundings and make sure that you will not be interrupted while you were shaving. I added this just because I have seen some bad accidents with beginners who have severely cut themselves. Now onto the craftsmanship of this razor. I must admit that at a price point of only $20 I was somewhat skeptical of the quality, but upon its arrival and using it that skepticism was quickly dismissed. This razor is very well-made all around the people at this company seem to have a great passion for the products that they make as their products are a cut above. You people at BRV have earned yourself a long-term customer with much more repeat business in the future and I look forward to buying more of your products and also doing reviews on them. I generally do not do reviews on products quite frankly because most of the products that I order are just what I expected them to be or are less than stellar. The reason that I have decided to leave this company and this razor a glowing review is because I can say with 100% certainty that I know this is a very well-made razor and it seems the people at the company Cara great deal for their customers. I strongly urge anyone that is into maintaining their own facial hair to not only give this razor a chance about to give their other products a chance as well. With that said this is the only product that I have ordered from the company but if the other products are as good as this one is then there is no doubt in my mind that those will be well beyond expectation. Enclosing take a chance by a razor or buy whatever it is you were needing but definitely give this company BRV A chance with their exceptional products.

Extremely good quality and price
Have had this razor for a while now, bought this with the intent of it being my first straight edge razor and I might need to upgrade the blades but extremely satisfied with both the razor and blades. Have not had any issues with this and get a perfect line up on my beard now. Highly recommend this one

Great razor
No real learning curve. I’m in my 30s I’ve been balding since my early 20s, I used this razor to style my beard and shave my head with no prior experience except for a traditional Gilette multi blade razor. You need to be slower but the sensitivity is greatly reduced, the shave is much closer, and if you slow down and take your time there’s no real concern. Definitely plan to continue this method

Great Razor but know it’s strengths and limits
I purchased this razor because I work from several days per week (actually all the time now due to Covid) and the disposable blades I was using could not handle 3-5 days worth of stubble. This razor is an outstanding value for the money - solid, heavy feel and comes with 100 removable blades (each being easily able to use at least 3 times under normal conditions) - so that’s a lot shaves for the money. I would not classify this as a daily razor. It takes about 15 minutes to do it correctly, plus - You Will Nick Yourself - so the extra time to shave as well as pat some blood is not conducive to someone who has to leave quickly in the morning in a suit, to catch a bus or train. For that - I would say use this to shave down the multiple day stubble from a long weekend and a disposable one on regular days. There is something quite elegant and sleek about this razor and I thoroughly enjoy the process. I can’t say that with the disposable cartridge razors I was using. Some tips: - Always rise your face with hot water. I can’t believe how much of a difference this makes. - always cut down, in multiple small strokes. Check out some YouTube vids on this. You don’t just glide it down your face in long singular strokes like a disposable. This is more like you are lightly scraping the whiskers away. Never cut back up against the grain - as you could with a disposable - one direction only. - Invest in some good lubricant. I used a gel that really helps and does not create a lot of soap scum to go down the drain. All in I am very happy with this purchase. One last tip - getting the used razor out can be a little challenging. What I do is after pulling back the locking lever, I gently push a new blade through the slats in the top outside corner - when it’s lined up right it bumps the old blade out a bit so you can pull it out and discard it. Then I insert the new one, as normal, and lock it in. (This will become intuitive when you use the razor and see what I mean).

This is the one you want, trust me
I've been using a straight razor for 10+ years. I have a long beard now so I don’t shave large areas. I use it to line up my beard in between haircuts. Very happy I spent a like $7 more dollars for this one. The cheaper ones do not hold blades well and this one does. Very well made, I can feel the quality when shaving.

I get a second one, this one works really good.
The first one I received was defective; it couldn’t hold the blade in place. I requested another one, and it gets here in two days. This one is working excellently! I’m learning; with every shaving, it gets easier and funnier. I love the finish I can give to my mustache with this shavette.

Dull blade or blades
This is a shavette, not a straight razor. Google "shaving with a shavette", or both, to see the different shaving techniques. The first blade didn't cut and bounced down my face, and it had trouble cutting paper, so I assumed it was dull. The second blade cut, but not as close as they say these should and I was left looking like I had been attacked by a cat. This is probably due to my inexperience. Shave only your cheeks until you get the hang of it. I'll keep trying.

Always have issue with itchy after shave when using normal razor. I was exploring other shaving option originally was wanting a safety razor but for some reason never thought straight razor is the different. I have cut on my 1st try on this and never tried this after a month. I went to youtube for tips and etc, Tried tonight I have 2 more small cuts but satisfying after never had itchy and feel smooth. I never tried those recommended foam and brush though I've used what I normally used when shaving.. those normal foam and no brush.
