Renewed: A worthy upgrade that looks and feels new.
Phone arrived a few days ago in a generic box with a crappy looking charger but the phone looks in mint condition, no scratches or blemishes to be found. Phone booted up with no problems and the setup was a breeze. Has a beautiful display, finger and face recognition works like a charm and the phone has excellent battery life (90%), well it has been only 3 days, but the battery life so far is excellent. Was looking to upgrade my LG G7 with the Pixel 5 or 5a, the 5 has no headphone jack and smaller display, as for the 5A who knows when that was gonna be released and made no sense to buy that when the Pixel 6 is coming out. So far I am very happy with my purchase and it feels like I have a mint condition 2019 flagship phone for $200.

You don't have to spend a fortune for a great phone
After running into memory issues with my 3 year old G7, I decided to upgrade to the G8 rather than spend 5 times that amount on flagship through a 3-year contract with my wireless carrier. I have to say, this little guy is handling everything I'm throwing at it. LG's phones have always been criminally underrated and underappreciated, and the G8 is no exception. On average,I'm using about 3.5 Gb of the 6 GB of RAM, and around 40 GB of the 128 GB storage space. There's also a micro SD card slot if you need more space. I do think, based on its current performance, I should get at least a couple of years out of it before having to upgrade again. I am impressed that LG is still rolling out updates to this phone. It's currently running on Android 11 (not the latest, I know, but for me, good enough) and security updates as recently as last month. The phone (from Edge Cellular) looked brand new and has functioned with no problems since I took it out of the box. The only downside I can see is that it's a little harder to find phone cases for this one; LG shuttered their mobile phone business shortly after the G8 came out, so there aren't a million cases for this, but there are some out there and you can probably find one that will work for you. I highly recommend this phone if you want a great unit that handles your day-to-day needs but doesn't cost a fortune.

Faulty battery
It might be the battery but when the phone gets down to around 30% if you attempt to use an app, then phone immediately dies and says not enough power to turn on. When I plug it in, it will say 17% power. Not necessarily the fault of the seller but just an FYI

So Far, So Good
UPDATE: Unfortunately, even after working directly with LG technical support, the camera on this phone doesn't work, so I've ordered a replacement and am returning this one. Everything else seems to work fine and the battery is much better than my old phone's ever was so there is that. Was very pleased that I was able to replace my old phone that was on its last leg, without having to take out a second mortgage. The price was excellent and the phone arrived in like new condition with a decent charge. Verizon assisted with the activation, setting up fingerprint access, and the data/app transfers from the old phone to the new and it was seamless. All in all, I'm pleased with this purchase.

Wasn't a good deal
I've had nothing but issues with this phone since I've got it. The packaging was good and the product looked nice but my phone glitches all the time, the biometric nor face recognition never worked and wifi calling TOTALLY sucks (I'm sure it's the phone because others right by me don't have that issue). It gets me by and that's about it. Buy cheap, get cheap.

Decent, but some features are lacking or don't not work.
I wish it was a bit cheaper for what they gave. No manual or accessories besides the charger. I have it for a couple of weeks and it mostly does what it says it can do. There is nothing great about it, but it is also not bad. However, facial and palm recognition is terrible! If you get this phone be sure to be okay with using only the pattern unlock or the fingerprint scanner on the back. Air motion does not work at all! It's just a gimmick feature, so I am not too disappointed. Not sure they why they advertised it so much.

great
the fingerprint reader isn't as sensitive as on my previous LG, but still does well. I have not used the face recognition. the battery life is great and can last all day plus with minimal use. I love how it fits in my hand easier than my last phone. it was a great price with it being renewed on amazon and I would recommend.

Exactly as Advertised
I'm not the biggest user of smartphones. Not a fan of social media, and all I really want is my phone to do basic tasks efficiently - photos/texts/calls/email/etc. I actually had my old phone for eight years and it only just started dying. I've heard good things from family members that got renewed phones through Amazon and went with LG as any phone I've had over the years from them has withstood a lot. I had no problems setting this phone up, didn't even need a new Sim card, facial recognition works great (due to handwashing, fingerprint technology doesn't always work great for me as my hands can get too dry), no problems with the touch screen, and it looks like new. Would recommend.
