Fun workout, especially with two people
I have never attended a Zumba class nor have I ever followed a zumba session on video. I have been interested in Zumba for quite some time and finally decided to get this. I am glad that I did!The moves are fun, and I enjoy the challenge of moving my entire body, not just the hips, in ways that I am unaccustomed to. I am not one that is skilled in the art of any type of dance, but I do so adore watching people dance and have always felt a strong desire to dance. I think this is a wonderful game to have some fun with. I especially enjoy doing it with my sister, who has attended Zumba classes and says that this is very much like her experiences in the classroom. You just kind of start and go with it, and try try try...not to match what the instructor's moves and wonderful foot work and turns look like ect. but to try and just keep moving and smiling no matter how much of a fool you feel or look! Don't pick yourself apart for not looking like an experienced dancer, everyone starts as a beginner, so we've all been there, or here...or, wherever! You have to be willing to have fun with it and not take yourself too seriously. Oh sure you can pick the game apart. The band on the waste tends to come off of the area I originally fasten it around (I have bigger hips and thighs) and ends up moving up my waste and bouncing around my stomach! Hah! But, after fighting my urge to stop and mess with the band over and over, I found that since the wii remote is still wiggling it doesn't seem to make a big difference on what the game is picking up. Regardless, you are still moving, you are still attempting fast movement and hip wiggles and foot work (mine is atrocious!) that you otherwise would not be doing. Also, the practice mode- it is pretty sensitive and if you are wearing the wii remote it signals that you have 'mastered' a move and continues to the next. Think of the solution, not the problem. This is an EASY fix. Where is imagination? If you are trying to get a move down a little better, just take the band off! The character on the game is still moving for you to follow, if you are simply trying to get some foot work down more or perfect something, why does it even matter if the band is on? When you get it down, just put the band back on or simply wiggle the remote around till the practice session moves to the next move. Personally, i think practicing the moves took away from the fun of it all and made me start to nit-pick myself and feel negatively about how I fell short of this move or that. If you feel bothered, don't do the practice. There simply isn't any practice in 'real' zumba class, the dancing is the practice, helloooo. But enough of my rant. It is nice that the practice is offered for those who feel ready to try and perfect their moves. The point? If you are willing to have fun, and put your nit-picking aside to just wiggle around and enjoy, this game should bring you some wet t-shirts and a whole lot of smiles. A sense of humor helps :). So go ahead, laugh at yourself, just don't stop moving! If you try it out, and you feel discouraged, try doing it with a friend (hopefully one that won't be a negative nancy about every little thing they don't like) or a family member. I found that once you let yourself experience the joy of something and you can laugh with someone else about it and just go with it, it can reinforce a positive attitude instead of whatever initial negativity you may have.Fun game to have!

love, Love, LOVE this workout!
I've been working out with Wii Fit Plus for over 2 years now and really like it. To keep things interesting, I added Just Dance earlier this year, and most recently I added Zumba Fitness. I'm in good shape but this workout is taking it to a whole new level for me.And notice that I'm not calling it a game, 'cause Zumba Fitness ain't playin'! It is definitely challenging. I've been mixing Zumba in with my other workouts for a couple of months now, and I'm still working on the Level 1 classes. While my bff was staying with us, she did some of the classes with me, and they completely and totally kicked her @**! Her first class, she needed a break after the warm-up! I thought her first class might be her last, but she really liked it and kept coming back for more. It's a good idea to go through the tutorials before doing the classes until you're familiar with the steps, because the classes are fast-paced and many of the steps are complex and challenging. Of course, the more you do them, the easier they get for you. Also, one thing that wasn't clear to me initially is that the color of the instructor changes according to how closely you mirror the her moves, from red to green. One thing I'm not crazy about is the belt accessory that comes with the disc. You have to take the remote out of its silicone jacket and even then it's a tight fit and hard to work with. I just use a wide belt or scarf slung low on the hips and tuck the remote in that. Works fine.I wouldn't recommend Zumba Fitness for someone who is out of shape and just starting to workout, but if you're ready for the challenge, Zumba Fitness can help you get to the next level.

I've Become A Zumba Addict
I've been a pretty sedentary person for the majority of my 30s but I finally made the decision to get healthier and Zumba Fitness has been a huge part of that. I'm not the type to join a gym or do group classes. I have always preferred to exercise in the privacy of my own home. I have bought equipment and DVDs in the past but nothing has motivated me the way Zumba has. I've been using this game for 2 months now in conjunction with Weight Watchers and lost over 20 pounds.I've read some reviews complaining about the graphics and how it doesn't accurately account for your movement. That you can shake the Wii remote and the game thinks you are making the right moves. One, if you bought a Wii for incredible graphics, you didn't do your research. Two, you can find ways to cheat any game if you try hard enough. The point is to do your best to follow along and have fun. Also, people complained about how slow the beginning levels are or how the tutorial section is hard to follow. I didn't go through each level to unlock the games. I went into party mode so I can select my workouts and there are more than enough options for me. The six 45 minute Intermediate routines are more than enough to keep me entertained and sweating off the pounds. Though I do agree that the tutorial section is a fail. To learn the steps I took the remote out of the belt and only moved it when I had that portion of the step down, so it would move on.My feeling is that you either love the music and trying to follow the Zumba instructor or you don't. I love it. As a formerly inactive person, Zumba is a perfect calorie burner for me. I'm not the most coordinated person but after doing the routines a few times, I have the steps down. I'm not perfect but I do the best I can and I have fun with the music. To summarize....Pros: Variety of routines - multiple levels & time lengths. Ability to enjoy Zumba in the privacy of your own home. The instructor is easy to follow if you look for the visual cues from the instructor and on the dance floor. Challenging routines that really make you sweat.Cons: Remedial graphics (it's not a PS3). The step tutorials advance too quickly. The game can get a bit laggy when your go up an energy level.
