nice blade but didn't come with the sheath
I didn't get a sheath in the package and the knife looks used. The box was in bad shape as well I don't know but it sucks for the amount spent.

Love this knife
Love this knife. Sturdy, reasonable price, shipping times as expected, product exactly as described. Was impressed with the weight when I received it, not too heavy at all, but heavy enough to say quality. Handle is comfy in my hand (med sized hands), like the tanto blade, haven't tested it, so have no idea if the saw back would work, but the handle end could be used as a skull cracker or glass breaker. Very satisfied with product and value, can't wait to test it in the woods.

SWEET BLADEπͺπͺπͺπͺ
Great knife but the sheath and belt clip didn't come assembled and had no instructions. Figured out how to make it work though. Almost got 5π.

This is a great knife for the money
This is a great knife for the money. Nice blade shape. One of the few razor sharp out of the box. Very nice handle. Great quality on sheath and knife. Job well done Camillus.

A superb fixed blade knife
I have had this knife for about two months now, and I must say it is a wonderful product. The very first impression upon viewing or handling the item is the quality of its construction. The micarta grip is extremely solid, the blade has a thick spine which narrows considerably towards the cutting edge, allowing for a sharper blade. There is also a slight curvature running along the handle and the spine of the blade, which is hard to notice but allows for an extraordinarily ergonomic grip. The saw back I originally thought would be an annoyance, but the handle is long enough that it is even possible to do a two handed power cut without it interfering. And if you like saw blades, then all the better for you. The knife blade required a bit of strop work (I wasn't impressed with the factory sharpness, but I usually never am) and could easily peel hair. It does hold an edge well, but not 100%. However, though it got to where it would not easily peel hair (though it still will with a bit of effort) it cuts cardboard/plastic/hose with ease. I bought this knife as a personal defense weapon and as a camping companion, and I have no doubts as to its worthiness for each of these purposes. An added note for that is, being a tanto blade and thus having stabbing as its main focus, the point on the blade is exquisitely effective at its job.My one complaint involves the kydex sheath, or more specifically the sheath mount. There were no instructions, and all you get is the mount and a bunch of screws and rivets. The placement of the holes for the screws made it very difficult to figure out exactly where they should go. It literally took myself and two others over an hour to figure it out. The sheath itself is one of the finest I've seen, though I prefer leather, but the mount is a conundrum to figure out.Overall, I really couldn't be happier with this knife. The more I handle it the more pleased I am with it. It is a fine product and I whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about purchasing it. Also, though Camillus has moved much of its operation overseas (Taiwan and China), these knives are 100% USA made. As such, this is a product of the highest quality.

Nice but wish for no razor back model
First and foremost this really feels like a fighting knife. Since this is not my purpose, my review is based more for use as an outdoors knife.Fit, finish, weight and balance, and overall blade profile are excellent for this knife. Balance is exactly at the base of the balde. Handle feels good in my medium sized hand. I am not a huge fan of razor backs, and for me that is a personal choice and why I am only giving it 4 stars. I would comment that you should really need/want a razor back to buy this knife. I would even go so far as to say that if this knife came without the razor back that for me it would be a 5 star knife. If you are looking for a fighting knife it has good weight and balance. For general field work and maybe bush crafting, I would say go for it. I would probably not recommend this as a one knife for an all around camp knife...Having commented on not wanting the razor back, it is actually a pretty good razor back, but as I mentioned that if you are using it for camping purposes, you may find that it snags on a lot of items.Sheath and belt clip are acceptable, but I do wish that there was a slightly better option for mounting the sheath to the belt clip. I cannot get it comfortable to wear on a belt in any position. If you are mounting to gear then it should be fine. You may ask why I bought this knife over the bush craft option. Like all knives there is a personal preference and I like the tanto style blade profile. In terms of the Camillus name, there is a lot of debate out there about the new line of knives. I can only comment on what I own. This knife in particular feels very close to an Ontario knife. This knife is made in the USA with 1095 steel, and I'm sure will hold up for all of my uses.
