Needs some practice to get used to the shape of handle and the size of the head. Good for medium sized projects

I use this more than my other tools for spoon carving
This is an amazing tool. Much more useful than an axe in spoon and bowl carving. Less likely to cause tear out than an axe when roughing out the shape, plus it is like a big gouge chisel for scooping out a bowl.

Inside bevel
The adze has an inside bevel which may not be ideal for bowl carving. The head comes detached from the handle and needs to be added manually but this was no problem for me.
