Nice Product.
I bought this item as an all in one corner surge protector. That being said I am using it as my surge protector for my wireless router, cable modem, media server, and printer. The only down side to this at all is the RJ45 ports can NOT handle Gigibit speeds. If you run your Ethernet cable from your modem to the surge protector then out the surge protector to your Wireless Router you will only get 100Mbps speed. So if that is a downside for you I would recommend looking for a different product. I have just decided not to run the ethernet cable and am only running the Coaxial cable though it.

Nice if stereo does not have a switched outlet.
I bought this item to use for some cooling fans in my home entertainment cabinet in the living room. I have a stereo and other equipment in the enclosure but my receiver did not have a switched outlet to run my fans or my subwoofer. This item has two switched outlets, one always on outlet and one control outlet. The stereo plugs into the Power Tap and when turned on the switched outlets become live. There is a switch that selects between two control currents to trip the switched outlets. There sensitivity is switchable between 18 watts and 35 watts.
