I was skeptical of this working, mainly the 12v remote wire coming out of it, but it works flawlessly without any hitches. Super simple to setup. Will be buying again in the future.

Worked well, my amp is mono block so I connected both left and right speaker wires to just one side , which was just my left rear speaker and worked well, great sound quality with the speakers and subwooferOn 1995 ford explorer

First I will say this is a cool product. Having done car audio a very long time, newer cars can be a pain to even add a single amp.I was building a custom sub for my step-son, and decided to give this a shot. After a long build process I got the whole piece in, fired it up, and it worked! Quite happy I was able to avoid the dash.However, upon turning off the car, and then back on…nothing. No sound from anything, including the main speakers. Scratched my head.After a lot of troubleshooting, it was determined the car audio worked when started, IF the sub was unhooked. But if it was hooked up the car had no sound.I ended up bypassing this piece, and ran a 12v turn on. Now it work perfect. Long of the short, depending on your car it may not work reliably. In our case the car had an external DSP/amp as part of the factory (Subaru HK) and it did NOT like seeing the 12v offset this uses. Therefore protecting itself.Just figured I would try and help anyone else who might run into this. Likely 90%+ vehicles are fine with it, we just got unlucky.

I've used these in several installs to add an amp to a factory head unit - even "premium" systems, such as Bose, B&W, B&O, etc. It reliably provides a remote turn-on lead that simplifies installation while providing a clean RCA low level signal for an aftermarket amp. There are some really favorable video reviews on UToob that measured voltage output, frequency response and distortion and this one beats anything under $100 and gets verry close to the costlier AudioControl units. Unfortunately, there are a lot of garbage units made by otherwise respectable brands, but Kicker does this very well at a tremendous price.Really, the remote turn-on alone is worth the cost of this unit. Add best-in-class clean conversion to low-level RCA and this one is a winner.If you are adding a single amp to a system without RCAs this one gets it done with a clean signal and easy installation. You really have to spend many times more to get better. Highly recommended.

Item worked good until it overheated and started smoking. But I was able to exchange it for another and the second one had worked good.
