More than a Stripper!
The media could not be loaded. Love Klein & these wire strippers do NOT disappoint! They are SOLID & may replace most jobs for my old linesman pliers.Strips wires easily. Cuts them like butter. Pliers twist 3 wires easy (pre wingnut twist). Even the bolt cutter did its job -shears bolts nicely & still able to screw.1 THING DON’T LIKE:I wish it had a lock to keep them from popping open. This would make it easier to put in/out of my tool bag. I may cut the spring off (undecided). I’m still happy with this purchase & understand there are only so many things that can go on this tool. This model does NOT offer crimpers or smaller needle-nose end. So decide carefully which works best for your needs.Lots of cheap tools out there, but this Klein seems very HEFTY & it’s Made in USA.

Klein tools wire stripper/cutter
Klein tools, not much more to say. Cuts and stops wire very fast. Combination bender eyes and you’re through with tasks quickly and don’t have to get up and down a ladder multiple times.

Cut the spring and it’s perfect!
I’ve heard varying opinions on this product but finally decided to buy it. This has been without a doubt the best quality purchase I’ve made as an electrician in the past year. It’s comfortable in the hand, able to strip insulation easily and cleanly, and the thick “lineman side” of the pliers has a great grip. It’s not much larger than normal strippers either. Before I’d use strippers and lineman’s pliers for each make up and this slowed me down drastically. Now, I just use this to strip and twist my wires for a faster box makeup. My only critique was there was no lock available to keep the pliers closed in my pouch but I cut the spring out and it works like a charm.

Awesome hand tool for electrical work!!
I've been buying these cutters for a long time and it's the perfect hand tool for almost all of my electrical jobs. I bought this model because it still has the lock on the handle to keep the jaws closed so it fits easier in my tool pouch. I also like the tip of the jaws because it lets me grip the wires and twist them together before I put the wire nut on the wires. I would purchase again when this pair wears out.

almost perfect
I would give 5 stars but I wish they locked shut for storage. other wise they are pretty nice. also would be nice for the gauge indications on both sides for right or left handed use.

Multi Fuction ,Superior Stripper
These are a definite upgrade from the basic wire stripper. Stripping ,cutting and gripping are top notch due to the robust design.Excellent for troubleshooting with a 14/1 and a meter.Always nice when a single tool performs so many tasks seamlessly. Get one, they are very nice .

Great tool, with one flaw
Been an electrician for years, and I really like these strippers with the linesman end on it. Saves you from grabbing your lineman's pliers to twist wires together so it speeds things up. I'm often in very tight quarters either wiring up refractorys or fixing the factory where we make them. Having to only grab one tool and not switch back and forth is great and saves awkward reaching back and forth constantly for the right tools to get the job done. The spring makes it easier on your hands too. It is a bit larger and heavier than the standard strippers, but the curved handles are quite comfortable. The one flaw is there is no lock on it like the regular strippers from Klein. I'll probably fabricate one and rivet it through the wire loop hole (I never use it anyways) so it performs like my old pair.Side note: my old Klein strippers lasted me a good 10 years, and I have every expectation that this pair will last as long.

Great Tool—No Lock on This Model
Despite the review form asking about the "lock feature", this model has none (it replaces the model 12055, which did have a lock). Not sure why they removed it with this revision, but they did. So this one isn't quite as easy to carry around, e.g., in a pocket. But the tool itself is sturdy and a pleasure to use. The plier blades are wide and sturdy, if you need to twist wires together. The cutting blades are sharp and wide.
