ALWAYS BUY THE WARRANTY!
Well worth the price! I bought a $400 TV two years ago without this and the screen went out just after the factory warranty expired. I learned my lesson and bought this warranty for the next one. The sound went out just over a year later. I called the warranty phone number and they sent me a gift card for the price of the TV within 48 hours and we had a new TV within 4 days of the one that malfunctioned. Way better than paying $300-$500 every year for a new cheap TV. When I purchased the replacement I bought this warranty again, knowing that they will be there if this new TV fails me in a year.

Not worth purchasing
Bought a TV and the insurance plan a year ago in May 2019. Tried to file a claim and was told that my policy would only cover electrical or mechanical issues. My issue was a rubber gasket seal that came out of the frame and hangs about 2 inches down. I was told that if dirt, dust or moisture gets into the TV and causes an electrical or mechanical issue then it would be covered. BS answer. Also cannot contact Amazon Customer Service via an email to make them aware except through this venue.

asurion.. insurance.. right
Just like your phone insurance.. there is a premium. read the fine print. Never spend the extra on this crap. If you want a warranty go buy your TV at a store.. way smarter.

Before you buy know what the plan doesn’t cover.
This product protection doesn’t replace the manufacturer’s warranty, yet extends it. Of note, it does not cover accidental damage to the screen. I was not aware of that, until I read the more thorough description of the plan that came with the documentation delivered to me. It does provide technical support, and lasts for four years. You need to ask yourself, will you benefit from four years of incomplete coverage of a product who’s typical useful life cycle, as a 13 yo boys room personal TV, maybe somewhat shorter. In retrospect, I would not have purchased it, had I known it didn’t cover accidental screen damage.

They stand by their promise!
In 2019 I purchased a 50 inch Smart TV from Amazon and purchased an Asurion warranty. In the middle of October 2021 the TV lost picuture and sound. After a short communication with the Asurion rep. an appointment for a local repair person was arranged, and a few days later the problem was resolved with the refund of the purchase price of the TV. The next day Asurion placed a gift card with Amazon for the full purchase price of the TV. Asurion's warranty was well worth the price. A good value for a great product.

Left bad impressions, protection plan for my TV got applied to my couch, they don't even provide protection for furniture. The support team clearly didn't care to fix it so I refunded. Don't waste your time or money. If they are this bad while you can still refund it don't expect any help when you need the insurance to kick in.

Great product
Great product. Good to have in case you even need it. Have purchased these plans in the past. Have only ever had to use it once, but it paid off. My tv was fully covered for the repair/replacement and it was close to the end of the warranty. I recommend these warranties...unless you are into replacing your tv's or other products at full cost.

How do you rate a Ins policy that you have not used ?
How do you rate a Ins policy that you have not used ?, My thought on purchasing this was for safety or security on my purchase, But reading the "Fine" print it will only protect up to the original purchase price. I am now finding out that the credit card that I used actually protects me more that this Policy that I purchased for $50.00
