Things to consider
This is a good beginners cord since it’s bulky and stable to work with. I personally do not like the braided cord but when making pieces that I want to have more sturdiness to it, then I prefer it. It is made of 100% polyolefin fibers meaning it’s “a heat fusible fiber” where “you can join ends to change colors or finish without knots.” So if you’re looking to join ends seamlessly then this is perfect, I have never tried it so I can’t review that aspect of the product. Whenever I work with this cord, that chemical starts to come out and I breathe it in which makes me feel bad physically. I’ve had to cover my face before when unweaving the braids because of how bad that chemical residue was making me feel in my throat and lungs. This is definitely something to look into... The one thing I do love about this cord is when I unbraid the cord, it leaves a beautiful fringe effect. Keep in mind that is when you unweave it with your fingers and not when you brush it out with a comb or brush. I usually purchase this product at Hobby Lobby, but since it is closed due to COVID-19 I had to purchase it through Amazon. It was a quick delivery considering everything going on at the moment, so I truly appreciated that. I would post pictures of the product and a beautiful piece I made, but the seller does not give the option to share picture reviews; only written reviews.
