Yes, the cross is on the large side. It is not heavy and won't weigh you down. Seems well made, I just got it today.. can't talk about durability. The band that came with it is the basic strap, nothing too fancy. You can easily remove it and replace with a strap to your liking. I do indeed recommend this product.

The leather necklace was nice. I purchased it because it was adjustable. I thought the cross was too big so I replaced it with a smaller wood cross that I already had.

Very nice product! My son wanted this and loves it. Cross is a bit bigger than expected-make sure you are good with the dimensions. Probably 2.5-3 inches long. But it is nice!
