OK for younger children, too
Before I purchased Pollyworld for my granddaughters, ages 4 and 7, I read the reviews. One reviewer provided a good summary of the plot. One of the plot's main elements is Polly's dad's pending marriage. I was concerned that younger children who start playing with Polly Pockets at age three and play games on the Polly Pockets website might misunderstand what was happening. I have seen them get afraid when they watch shows where young children or young animals are separated from their families, and they think that might happen to them. After viewing the video with my granddaughters and watching their reactions, particularly the younger one's, I was glad to see that she figured out who the "bad guy" was and didn't have a problem with it. Polly displays courage and self-restraint in the face of adversity. She is the star of the show and a good role model, even for young children.

I absolutely love this movie
I absolutely love this movie!! I'm in college and I remember watching this movie when I was still in elementary school! I absolutely recommend this movie to any child 7+. I will forever love this movie and I can't wait to someday share it with my kids! It's just so much fun!

Our 7-year-old really enjoyed this movie! I thought that a really positive ending (or maybe for a sequel) would have been for Polly's father to tell his fiancé that he didn't want to automatically call off the wedding but recommend that they attend a recovery/support group to work through their issues so that they could be a happy family, and provide for Polly the support that she needs. Maybe it could have been at a church or other venue where they could understand God's acceptance and accept each other.
