Good
I was looking for a USB car dongle and came across this one. The price was okay compared to the other ones as it's in the middle. Installation was easy as there is not much to it besides installing it into your car and then connecting it to your phone. Now, when actually using it I noticed that sometimes it would not read my phone which is an Iphone so I would have to sometimes unplug and plug it back in to get the dongle to read my phone. Sometimes I would just have to restart my car to get the dongle to read my phone and work but when it does connect and work there is nothing wrong with it and carplay works fine.

Works flawlessly with Android head unit - after a few tweaks
Have a 2007 Honda CR-V that was getting road-ready for our college-bound daughter. After several mechanical upgrades, decided to purchase a model-specific Android head unit on the cheap. At around $100 for a car enabled Android tablet, it was a darn sight better than the stock stereo in a base model CR-V. Here's the model link, and my review for that. https://www.amazon.com/Navigation-Autoradio-Multimedia-Headunit-Supports/dp/B07FLZBJ4C/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8Knew it wasn't Apple CarPlay ready out of the box, so I searched for a dongle that would be the best option, that would get here quickly. Though the manufacturer states it won't work with factory radios, I decided to give it a shot. And true to their word, it didn't work with my wife's 2016 Honda Fit.So, back to the Android... after fiddling around with some developer options, I was able to get the apk to sideload (not through the Play Store) and crossed my fingers. The app did take a little more configuring than expected, and the dongle/software are rather persnickety when it comes to Apple cables. We tried a number of "Apple certified" cables, until we found what we believed was the cable that came with the iPhone. Either way, we got it working. Now, it works flawlessly with every start of the car, defaulting to the CarPlay screen. It transforms the clean-fitting, albeit cheap, Android tablet to a CarPlay head unit - which is exactly what we wanted. So far we are LOVING it!

It works! (PLEASE READ! DO NOT UPDATE DEVICE!!)
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE PLEASE READ!DO NOT UPDATE WILL NOT WORK!! So this product does work. HOWEVER DO NOT UPDATE IT, DO NOT UPDATE THE DEVICE USE IT HOW IT IS WHEN IT COMES OUT OF THE BOX. I updated mine a couple days ago and now when I plug it in it doesn’t work it simply remains at the screen where it says “please plug in device” apart from that it works. AGAIN DO NOT UPDATE DEVICE!!Works as advertised. No wireless. The instructions are a little confusing however if you follow the steps correctly you will be fine. People who give this poor reviews saying it doesn’t work clearly have not read where it says that they need android 4.0 or above.

Works well
I’m using this CarPlay dongle with an android tablet. It works really well! There are no slowdowns or glitches. The only negative that I have found is that my phone must be plugged in the dongle, before connecting the dongle to my tablet. Otherwise, the app fails to connect.

Didn’t work for me
I was unable to get it to work with my 2017 MB E300 with Apple CarPlay/usb port. There was no Bluetooth or WiFi signal emitted from the deviceCalled tech support and they were not able to assist. Emailed seller and to date after many days have not responded so I returned it

Not plug and play
This product was advertised as plug and play. The instructions manual requires you download a program into your car radio system. Not a practical option in most cars. Needless to say, it’s not just plug and play. Didn’t work for me.
