Dual Battery Kit for 2018-Present Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator

Easy install. Do yourself a favor and watch the install video on YouTube. This went in my 2018 Jeep JL in about an hour. Excellent quality. Pro tip if you get the optima batteries keep the plastic pieces they ship with you may need them for spacers under the batteries to make a tight fit in the tray.

It is a nifty piece of equipment worthy of consideration. However, if you have the ESS on your Jeep (which if you have a JL you have it) the mechanism will cause the ESS to cycle through 6 times and then it gets disabled. The owner tells me that it is a design by FCA and even at stock the ESS only cycles through 6 times. There is no evidence of that claim I have been able to find and others I have spoken with who drive a stock JL have not had that experience-I have owned my JL for 15 months and ESS cycled through as many times as needed even in a stop and go traffic. The 6 cycle limit claim is suspect... In any event, buyer beware.

Super easy at home install. Would highly recommend this to anyone who does any overlanding or camping. Its great for running my fridge and kitchen lights off of at night. Also they are a small company with great customer service. Cant say enough awesome things about this kit.

Exactly as advertised, the installation video was spot on. I bought knowing about the ESS problem people have, but to my surprise it’s hasn’t happened to me. I have a 2020 2dr JL. I have activated the ESS 10+ times in a single trip and have not encountered any error messages or changes in vehicle operation.
