It's a beautiful small model of a realistic nautilus and perfect for a nature mascot, which is what I wanted. The construction is durable, and it is handling being tied to a fishing line for "swimming" in my home videos well. I thought about gluing the pieces together to keep it from falling apart, but that hasn't been necessary.I could only give it 4 stars because it was quite a difficult puzzle to assemble with confusing diagrams and is certainly not for children. Personally, I would have preferred to buy a solid single piece toy of the same size and weight. Then I could let my children play with it, but for a science nerd teen/adult this is a beautiful display piece.

Love the detail, the vibrant color and the anatomical accuracy.Because of the underlying structure, the piece is solid and easy to handle. Looks like a museum display case item.The assembly time was absurd and the pictogram-type instructions inaccurate , small and hard to follow. I finally got it together by trial and error. Exhausted but delighted.

This model comes with tiny instructions and pictures that are difficult to see. I do not feel children could put this together! I tried just putting together the parts as they seemed to fit. It took me about 30-minutes to get them all together. Once put together, The parts would probably not fit together so well if it were disassembled and reassembled several times (the instructions says it is a 3-dimensional puzzle)!Anyway, this model of the nautilus can be placed next to a real nautilus shell. People will be amazed to see what the real nautilus looks like.

Put it together the other day. Knew I'd like it cause I have almost all of them Amazon offers, Actually looks even cooler than I thought it would. Thumbs up for sure.

Great quality, price, and the assembly makes the experience more enjoyable and connects the toy to the child. My inquisitive 6yr. old absolutely loves this toy!

A nice model. The puzzle part is not very complicated, but some smaller kids might have trouble with it. I would give it 5 stars if were a little bigger.
