I've installed the light inside my shed with the solar panel mounted externally on top of the shed. I've drilled a small hole through the wood to accommodate the wiring (which helpfully disconnects via connecting plug). Since it is now summer/autumn I can only rate its performance during periods of high sunlight, rather than the winter months (I'll update the review next year).The panel charges and provides ample light for the odd sortie into the shed at night - I don't work in the shed so cannot comment on how long the light would remain on continuously. It does the job as I need it using a PIR sensor so that it lights up as soon as I enter. However, there is a flaw, which is irritating. The light sensor, which must tell the unit when it is dark enough to power on is situated on the solar panel, not the light unit. So at dusk, when there is still some light in the sky, but the shed is dark, the light does not power on on entering.The light sensor should really have been on the lighting unit not the solar panel. There will be situations, as inside my shed, when it is darker than the ambient light level outside. Keep this in mind!

Could be brighter

For the price this is an excellent solar light, it throws enough light out to enable me to see in the alley to my rear gate.We will have to wait and see on longevity of the unit but the previous light of a different make lasted three years.There is no side adjustment unless you mount the unit with the light in a portrait angle but then you may obscure the movement sensor.

Quick and easy installation. It literally took me 20 minutes from opening up packaging to installing the light. The trickiest part was drilling into the house brick so the raw plugs can snuggly be inserted. On reviewing the performance of the light, it has very good motion detection and the brightest is good (yes, only good). If I could pick fault with this product, I'd say the brightest could of been higher. Other than that you get what you pay. At this price I cannot complain!

Bought to add a bit of light when parking the car, It’s been up a couple of weeks now in the grey weather and still seems to be working well! Ive got it on a north facing wall so the separate solar panel was a must, and is mounted around the corner facing south. Take note that when you unbox it, it will keep coming on in the daylight, which you’ll think is pointless, until you install and connect the solar panel which doubles as the daylight sensor!

Decent enough product works as it should.However the batteries no longer hold a charge after only 6 weeksEdited to add, it wasn't the batteries that were at fault but the fact that water had got into the actual light fitting and damaged the bulbs. not waterproof so totally not fit for outdoor use

This product was sverige easy to fit and the instructions are clear. It is responsive to movement. The only thing is the light is very dim!

Keep having to resetting by separating the cables to make work. Keeps stopping unless u separate, not sure why. But that's happening to another person I know who bought same product.So if you are putting this product up make sure u can easily reach cable to reset
