This time I wanted to try out the real stuff, in extract form.The first time I opened it, it looked like sticky tar, I was familiar with this because I saw something similar as a plum product. This item comes with a 2pc plastic spoon you screw together and is a good quality spoon which I use to pull a spoonful and mix with boiling hot water. I tried it pure by dabbing a tiny amount on my finger and noticed the bitterness. Being Japanese-decent, I'm used to bitter tasting herbs so this didn't overwhelm me.After stirring it in a coffee mug, I tasted it. I decided it would be nicer to add some organic raw honey, about a teaspoon and was very happy with the results. I normally would crave soda, diet Pepsi or something similar but I haven't had much of it because this is so much better.I don't feel anything special honestly, it's nothing like a sugar or caffeine boost. Great product, but very expensive

I've been taking this stuff for a few months, and I can feel the energy difference. I've quit coffee, and am running on my Green Tea w/Ginseng, just like I had hoped.*Buyer Alert* This stuff is BITTER. Some say it is sweet, with a bitter aftertaste. Well, I feel sorry for whatever foods these folks have had to suffer through all these years, cuz this stuff is not sweet! Hot water and loads of honey make it go down easier, I haven't tried to add lemon yet, I'm hoping that makes it taste less....yuck.It is a paste, not a powder. This size comes with a tiny plastic spoon, but the directions (and their videos) say to use 1tsp, so many people who said it doesn't taste that bad are under-dosing, which probably helps a lot:) You can't fit a teaspoon into the jars (comes in 3 small jars), but I think 2 spoonfuls of the tiny spoon is about 1tsp, so it works fine. Just be ready for the taste, as I was not, and WOW! lol, overall though, it's a great product, and very effective.*Update*I've gotten much more used to the taste. As a dosing recommendation, one small spoonful is fine. This stuff is great, I'm still off the coffee, and i still feel great.

The product arrived with the original box badly damaged. I was going to gift it to a friend since I have plenty in stock for myself. However due to product packaging damage it was no longer presentable. The product had short shelf life, so I'd better hurry up with consumption before it expires.
