COVERGIRL - Eye Enhancers 4-Kit Eyeshadow - Pure RomanceI had some hesitation after opening the package and finding such a difference in the shades I received (see photo) and the shades I thought I had ordered. But after scanning the bar code (and trying very hard to read the teeny tiny white printing on a pale pink background on the back) I have come to the conclusion that I did not, in fact, receive the wrong colors. So while I was hoping for mauvey pink tones, what I got, as you can see, was a lot more lavender/purple with gray tones.I considered returning it, but figured since I'd gotten it at a good price, I'd give it a try, if I hated it, I'd pass it along to someone else.Well... to my surprise, I really liked it. The colors are sheer but just pigmented enough that you can put them on and see them on your lids without having to spend 5 minutes with a blending brush to tone down the color. So you can definitely build to the depth and amount of color that you want.The quality is very nice; it looked just as good at 5 pm as it did when I put it on. The colors are soft and creamy and go on easily. I didn't notice any smudging or fading.If it helps, I am fair-skinned with blue/gray eyes and cool undertones, and while I am not normally a fan of purple shades (I am much more comfortable with nude or neutral shades) because they tend to be too bright for me, I don't mind these. I am considering ordering some of the other shades, but hesitant since I don't know what colors I will actually end up with.But other than that, I would recommend them--but maybe check them out in a store first and see how the colors in the picture compare to the real thing.

This is always a must for me. My staple colors and brand for eyeshadow. It long lasting, smooth and I love the look of glitter in it. It blends easily together too.

I’m a warm spring with a fair (porcelain) complexion, and blue eyes… and this little quad s like it was made for me. It’s perfect for daily wear, and perfect for my coloring. Being fair does not mean that you have cool undertones… once I’ve realized that, I’ve never looked more radiant. These shades add subtle definition without looking overdone. Easy to use, stays on all day, and does not require expert level of makeup application. Looks gorgeous!

Pros: Came with a sponge applicator brush in a nice compact case. The shadows have a little bit of glittery sparkle to them.Cons: There isn't alot of contrast between the colors. The shades almost look the same when you apply them. Had to use another darker shadow I already owned for a better contrast. The formula is a little dry and I felt like I had to apply alot of shadow to see any color on my eyelid.

This is my favorite color eyeshadow, stays on all day & the color is perfect for a elderly lady.

The color is fine, but it arrived completely shattered and the particles flew everywhere when I opened it.

I love cover girl products and this one doesn’t fail to please. However I ordered the pink palette and the first time got sent the purple palette, I contacted Amazon, they refunded my money and let me keep the product, so no harm, no foul. I ordered it again, and AGAIN received the purple palette.. FURIOUS, I contacted Amazon, they promptly refunded my money, this time I had to return the item though- went somewhere else and bought a different brand, but I think it’s good eyeshadow for the money, I also have some of the blush which I think is pretty good too. I grew up on cover girl, back in the day it was my go to. I use their foundation as well- the one for old people with oil of Olay in it lol- I do use other more expensive products in conjunction with these however I still use them. Can’t go wrong…

the pure romance is full of nice colors, matte/satin mauve/pinks and darker wine/purple. The disappointing thing (for me) to be aware of is that the lightest color for some reason is NOT matte--it is sparkly and has glitter chunks that fall off all over your cheeks. I thought I could use that as a neutral base and for the upper eyelids but it completely failed in that department. I will skip using that one, but for the price it is still good. has good coverage and lasted well during the day. My pallette had the colors out of order, maybe that's why it is on Amazon?
