Wooden model assembly kit

Fun little build.
It was quite easy to put together and fun.It did look a little too “cookie cutter” for me, so I spruced it up with some smooth sanding all around the edges, then slapped a couple different colored (Poly-Stain). Also, I recommend using one of those “UV-Light Super Glues” for an easy, quick, and very strong build that’ll last a lifetime.👍🏻😊⚓️🛶🚣♀️🚤⛵️🛳️

Very frustrating model
Very frustrating product. Instructions are poor and assembly is very complicated. I got as far as attempting to attach the frame parts, which required rubber bands and pins to keep the fragile components in place while the glue dries. Instructions say to hold in place for ten seconds, when in fact each joint needed overnight drying. The joints do not hold when put under the tension of the curving pieces. I would not recommend this for anyone other than an experienced model maker with a craft vice, miniature clamps, and specialty tools. I feel bad my family spent nearly $30 for this disappointing model.

Extremely well made and very accurate detail, However the translation from Korean to English on the "Instruction Sheet" is a complete failure, some sections make absolutely no sense what so ever. Grandson had to get help with the instructions in order to proceed. Also the kit is rather pricey for what you get.

Building wooden model boats/ships tips
I have not yet purchased this boat, but I want you all, who may be novices in building wooden model boats, to understand there is a learning curve to this hobby. First off, I’m assuming the glue that comes with this kit is nothing more than Elmer’s Glue. That alone can cause frustration due to how long it takes for the glue to set. I strongly recommend CA glues (super glue). They generally set within 30 seconds. Get a slow CA glue for parts that you don’t want to set immediately, such as parts that need some repositioning before setting. And a fast CA glue that will bond parts almost immediately. Another trick while doing the side planking is to soak the part in 70% isopropyl alcohol to soften the wood and form the planking along the frames, then use rubber bands, etc. to hold the part until it dries. It will dry to a curve rather than flat and makes it so much easier to glue the planking to the frames. Hope this helps.
