Ideal spring snowboarding jacket (or for winter, with a down shell underneath)!
I've skied and snowboarded for the past 20 years and have only gotten 3 new jackets throughout that time. When holes appeared in my current jacket, I figured I was long overdue for a functional snow jacket. Love the Burton brand for all snowboarding gear. The Jet Set jacket is the ideal spring snowboarding jacket (or for winter, with a down shell underneath)! For temperatures 20 F and below, I would recommend layering with long underwear, a shirt, down shell jacket and the Jet Set jacket. For 20-30 degrees F, I'd wear long underwear, a shirt, a sweatshirt and the Jet Set jacket. For temperatures 30 and above, I recommend long underwear, a shirt and the Jet Set jacket.Sizing: I ordered a medium at 5'8" and 135 pounds. Fits well and there's plenty of room for layering.ProsImpressive water resistance; Fall on your ass as much as you want on the mountain. Your backside will hurt, but you'll stay dry. It's last season, so selling for a steal on AmazonAmple pockets for snowboarding passes, phone, warm headbands, etc.Tapered fit, which flatters the figureGreat color selection (hint: get brighter colors so your family members can easily spot you)Normal sleeve length. I've had problems in the past with snowboarding jackets having longer sleeves than seem necessary or realistic.Inside gaiter adds extra water resistance, preventing snow from entering the jacketHood stays upZipper works greatMaterial is durableConsToo light alone for winter snowboarding. You'll definitely need to layer for enough warmth.

Fits true to size
I ordered a size large in the Canvas Fleck color. I was super conflicted about what size I should get. I am 5' 3" and 138 pounds, large is perfect for layering. A lot of the reviews said it runs small or big.. not really, runs pretty true to size! I tried on a medium in the 2017 version and it was super a big snug and I wanted this to fit a little long. When I got it it felt big, but with a fleece under it was perfect. The texture/flecks in it are so cute! I was hesitant because they are pink and blue but it wasn't too girly at all, looks super cool. The inside of the jacket is a mustard yellow which I also loved. And super convenient pockets. Literally the only con to this jacket is that the pockets in front are fake snaps.. They are zippers with a "snap" for style. Kept me super warm today in Keystone, CO where it was 0-12 degrees all day - with a longsleeve and a thin fleece.

Not satisfied
The jacket is not as warm as it states to be. Also when I received it, there were dirty tissues in the pocket and someone's ski pass. Wasn't brand new.

Love this jacket!
I ordered a medium in anticipation of layering underneath. I really love this jacket. I went skiing on a bluebird day which turned into a snowstorm and major temperature drop. I didn’t get overly hot when the sun was out and it kept me warm and dry when it snowstormed. Whatever fabric technology is in this jacket, works. It’s not overly bulky and feels really lightweight compared to my previous ski jackets so I was impressed how warm it has kept me skiing and even in just cold temperatures in the winter. The jacket is also pretty stylish and doesn’t look like a typical “ski jacket”, so it’s been great to wear to dinner or out running errands. I even plan to wear it into the office next winter! For the price, this jacket has exceeded my expectations. The only thing that is a negative, is for skiing in particular, I would have liked more pockets. It has two big net pockets on the inside of the jacket and two regular zip pockets on the outside, but maybe a few easy access zip pockets on the chest or wrist would have made this jacket even better.

So pretty and so many cool features
The media could not be loaded. Im 5’7 , 155lbs , inverted triangle (top heavy).I bought this for snowboarding and I will revise the review once I go to the snow. In the mean time here are my initial thoughts:Ordered a Medium, fits great. It does not look boxy and it has room to layer up.It’s waterproof but the material is not plastic looking like other jackets , it’s very breathable.Jacket falls in the hips , not too low that would prevent movement but low enough to keep you warm and the snow out, it also has the inner belt to help keep the snow out. Many pockets to keep your stuff , easy to zip up. It closes all the way to your chin but leaving enough room to use a scarf. The hoodie seems to be big enough put it in over the helmet. My favorite thing about this jacket is that you can throw it in the laundry machine Henry cycle (at least that’s what it says)... not having to take it to dry clean is a big plus!! Specially since jacket is white and gotta keep it clean to keep it looking pretty.

Great jacket - pockets are not bad!
I bought this shell in "hot sauce" size small and the fit & color are great. I think it runs true to size but perhaps a tad snug in the hips (that's always an issue for me though!). Fit in the chest and arms was great with room to layer - and it will need layers for the slopes. It's a solid durable shell but the insulation is light. As for the pocket situation, I do wish there was a zippered chest pocket. The pockets that are there aren't as bad as I initially thought though, they're actually quite functional despite the lack of a zipper. Quality velcro tabs are used instead, but it gives easy access to my phone and I do feel it's pretty secure. It's a deep pocket. My credit card and ID go in the zippered hip pocket and I'm happy.

Great snowboarding jacket
Love this jacket. I use it for snowboarding at Colorado resorts (Keystone, Copper, Winter, etc.) so no backcountry. I love the rich color and all the pockets. The interior chest pocket is handy for a phone instead of keeping it in your pants. I love the snow skirt and underarm zippers as well. Unlike other reviewers, I don't find the zippers uncomfortable at all but since I bought the coat, I've been wearing it with a baselayer and a fleece so I don't feel them at all. Coming from someone who hates wearing coats and especially puffy coats, I love this jacket.

Nice light weight jacket. Repels water nicely!
I love the look of this jacket. It is lightweight but fairly warm. Not bulky. Has nice zip up pockets! The 1 & only thing I could say bad about it is - the length in the arms could & should be longer! I don't like cold wrists! I would still buy this jacket again.

Great basic coat
Great basic coat. Fits nice but it doesn't have the nicer finishes of other Burton coats, like the prowess.

This is what this jacket is like after just a week of wear.
This was a Christmas gift for my daughter. Price went up from $173 to $250. Still bought it as this was the jacket she wanted. She’s worn it now for 10 days and the pix shows the flawed material of the jacket. Quite disappointed. I most likely will buy her something else and rerun this!

Not a winter jacket.
More like a windbreaker. Warmth sacrificed for fit because apparently Burton thinks we prioritize looking curvy over being warm.

Bad Knockoff
The jacket was way too thin to be a ski/snowboard jacket. Velcro pocket is not a good idea for snowy conditions. Pit vents aren't even located on the armpit. Not worth it.
