If you like Laura Clery you will LOVE this book! I got the book in hardback and I couldn’t put it down! I let my friends borrow it and they all loved it as well! I am actually getting ready to read it again! There are so many details in her stories and things you would never expect! I feel like I know her, like she is a close friend. She is so relatable and funny yet intelligent and deep. I can not wait for her second book, I will absolutely be buying it! If your even thinking about getting this book just get it! You will not regret it! Her audio commentary is fabulous as well! The way she animates it makes you feel like your right there. Even just reading the book I was no longer in my living room, I was in her world, I could picture where she was at! She writes in a way that you can see it happening as you read it. I am someone who reads science books for fun, but I also have another side to me and this book, while is a light-hearted easy read, in no way lacks depth or Laura’s quirky intelligence!!! Two thumbs up!!!

I was already a huge fan of Laura and her fun videos, but I admit it was her video skit about how she met her husband (which she didn't finish the story and left it a cliff-hanger!!) that first got me interested in the book. Hadn't read a book in forever and I'm glad I got this one. Her book is absolutely raw, honest, and the ultimate hit-rock-bottom-and-survive memorandum about her life. She had already done more in 24 years than most people do in 50, which is both admirable and In some ways horrifying. My favorite thing about this book, however, is she is proof that people CAN change for the better, and she never stopped reaching for her dreams. I needed to read this, since I am fighting to crawl out of this dark pit that is my life right now. The book made me laugh, cry, want to hug her, want to smack her, but mostly want to be her friend and root for her. Her book is a testament to the fact that you can accomplish your dreams, even if you've f***ed up a lot. Loved learning more about her relationship with her English hubby, and look forward to more stories reflecting her unusual and hard-earned life.

I didn't know that when I opened this book I would be hooked and would have to read it all day until I was through! I simply couldn't put it down. I'm a 70 year old grandmother who taught high school for 24 years and I thought I had had a rough life! This lady lived through hell to achieve her dream, so I can safely say, "So can you!" I just recently started watching her on her you tube series when she was pregnant and thought she was hysterical. She mentioned during one of her shows that if I wanted to know more about how she met her husband, I'd have to read her book? Really? She had a book? I found it on Amazon and ordered it and wrapped it up as a gift from my husband to me, because that's what married couples do who have been together for 46 years! Anyway, I found it riveting and full of hope. I can't wait for her second book! This is an excellent book with an ending that will leave you full of hope for a better life and teach you how to get it. I loved, loved, loved it!!!

I’ve loved watching Lauras’ videos and had to get the book to read. Preordered it weeks ago and when I came home tonight, I had to read it. Then comes midnight and my hubby walks in to find me still awake finishing up the book. I didn’t want to put it down until I’d heard the whole story and wow what a story.It’s completely raw, Laura puts herself out in front of anyone who wants to read her story. Her writing is brave, showing her truest self at this moment, and I do hope that this book will be able to resonate with many others who have been battling throughout their lives.I loved reading the book, it was inspirational, it was insane, and everything in between. It also now has baby puke on it as my son was crawling all over me while I was reading it. I would really recommend getting this book!

I follow Laura on social media and love her humor and how “real” she is. This book provides a raw and honest look into her life, including things that are dark and incredibly personal, but all told in her own hilarious and self-deprecating way. She has really been through a lot but is strong and has come out on top. I think her story can really give hope to people who may be struggling with addiction or who are just trying to find their way in this world. I was recovering from surgery after a cancer diagnosis at the time that I read this book and it was a nice distraction and provided many laughs. They part about her dog is comedy gold! I appreciate Laura so much more after reading this.

I know Laura's personal story ends well as I see her posted vignettes on IG, but this book is an utterly amazing collection of true heartfelt stories of how she eventually climbs out of her self-created hellhole of selfishness, drug abuse and domestic abuse. Her reflective use of sarcasm and self-deprecation helps leaven the serious of the issues that she struggled through (and presumably continues to struggle with). Her honesty and her frank recognition of how her actions affected her, her family and friends was spot on based on my own personal observations with family members that have similar issues. Although the book is an easy and humorous read, its issues are weighty and far-reaching.

Great read, and I’m not much of a reader so that’s saying something! I really enjoyed this book love all the humour and authenticity.

Love this book. It’s so inspiring, I already thought that I’d love it as I really love following Laura on Instagram. But since I had it I didn’t put it away anymore. I spent every free minute on reading.

I adore Laura's video, characters and vlogs so I couldn't wait to get my hands on her book. But I did though. I had to wait what seemed like a lifetime as I live in the UK and had to await for it's release here. Ok...fine! Maybe I just had to wait a couple days, jeeze don't give me a hard time! I was excited to read it!!This book is bloody epic!! What an incredible story to tell and she tells it so well. She's written it brilliantly and I simply couldn't put it down. I am dyslexics (but yet can actually spell that odd word. How weird is that?!) and not a quick reader. I got through this bad boy in only 2 bed time reads! It's brilliant.Moral of this review is....just buy the dame book and read it!!! It's brilliant!
