Almost waterproof, except.......
We own a dog grooming business and have used these beds for over 10 years. They are frequently peed on, so the waterproof capability is why we use them. But the latest 2 we ordered had holes punched in the top of the cover to attach tags like on clothing that tout the waterproof feature. That's right, let's punch some holes in the cover to attach tags claiming it to be waterproof. You can't make this stuff up. There is a handle and a cuff on the zipper end this could have been done on, but no, top center. Nobody ever accused the Chinese of being geniuses when it comes to manufacturing, but how stupid obvious is this????? I will apply some Aquaseal on the rubberized inside of the cover, but I still can't believe what I saw when I unpacked them.

Poor quality zipper and fabric
Returning all 3 beds because the zipper quality is poor.1 bed zipper failed on arrival, 2nd bed zipper failed on day 4, 3rd bed has a hole in the fabric...I have requested return and refund. My intention was to replace 3 Kong beds that had lasted 2 years with these beds based on reviews, but just placed order for Kong beds and returning these Slumber Pet Toughstructable Beds.. I was hopeful but badly disappointed.. Also, the Kong beds were less expensive.

Great product
I bought two of these for when I board my dogs. Their memory foam beds get ruined by water or smell so I needed a waterproof alternative. My older dog lays on this instead of her regular bed. It's a bit thinner than I envisioned, but she loves it for some reason (maybe it feels cooler because of the material). They also have a nice handle on the end for easy carrying.

Looked and felt durable, but noisy and lasted only a few days
Just purchased this product and in just a few days my 7 mo old Lab chewed through one of its corners and pulled out all the stuffing. I gave it two stars only because my dog liked it regardless of the fact that it is noisy bed. I'm currently checking to see if the warranty that comes with it will replace it. If they do, i'll change my rating as they are backing their product and claims. For what I paid for this bed and it's claims it didn't last anywhere as long as the generic cotton one I bought from Amazon Essentials which lasted several months. There are two design flaws with this product.1. They put a handle at one end that once a dog discovers it, it's what starts them on wanting to chew on bed. That was the first thing he found. He didn't chew threw it, which led me to believe this bed might actual last, but then he found flaw 2.2. They squared off the corners, a tempting spot for dogs to start chewing. They should have rounded them.Update 6/12:No response from Amazon or manufacture on the warranty of this product. I reached out to Amazons Customer care warranty service and they haven't even replied back to state it was being looked at. Even with a follow-up still no response. Because of that, I've reduced it to 1 star due to poor customer service which affects the overall quality of the product.

This bed is a bit of a disappointment. The internal padding is no where near as fluffy as depicted in the picture and at most is 1.5 inches thick. It is so thin that I actually looked in the box to see if there was another insert. However, the cover seems well-constructed and is very tough/substantial nylon. And, it fits perfectly in the standard "large" 42 x 28 inch crate. My puppy seems to be ok with getting in his crate with this bed, but I will likely want to insert a "mattress topper" into the cover. Just know that what you are buying is the cover.Update: within a month, my dog found the zipper and handle, and it was all over from there. There should be no handle - it just invites chewing. And the manufacturer should use Velcro rather than a zipper, which is super dangerous if a dog swallows it. Bed ruined and $$ wasted.

Waterproof but that is it!
This bed is great because it is water proof. I spilled some water on it when changing my dogs bowl and it beaded up. However, it flattens out pretty bad. This may work for some dogs, but older dogs with sore muscles or arthritic conditions need to have a more substantial bed. Due to its being waterproof the material is a bit slick. Dogs with balance issues, or arthritis of any kind can slip. I have seen my dog do this on several occasions.

$50 down the drain in less then 8 hours
I bought this bed because it was supposed to be substantially more durable then regular dog beds. I have a 7 month old husky who is still in the chewing phase. In less then 8 hours this 'tough'structable bed turned into what looked like an exploded cloud in his kennel. I could have just let him chew up a $50 bill. There would have been less clean up involved.

Absolutely horrible!
My dogs do not destroy beds. They use them as beds, the end. This bed is garbage. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! The zipper blew out when I tossed it on the floor, before ever seeing a dog. It is really flat. The picture seems to have a different bed inside the cover, because mine is really flat. Here is the kicker. I bought two, and they each had blown zippers, were flat, and they plastic label thing totally left two huge holes where they attached the tags. Absolute garbage!(I've never given below 3 stars on a review........until now)
