These are too small to fit around the vine and the stake. You need to put it on the vine and then tie it to the stake. You might as well just tie the tomato vine to the stake.

Although I haven't used these yet...will use them in the spring...I'll be terracing my tomato plants and these will work very well along with the string. I'm looking forward to using them.
