Useful book for PACES - The history taking section
Useful book for PACES - The history taking section, communication skills section and station 5 chapters are particularly useful. I found it went into far too much detail for the clinical stations, although useful for background reading/ looking things up.The font is really quite small and it takes quite a long time to get through the book, far more information than you need for the actual exam itself. I think this a good book to use in conjunction with one of the other PACES books such as Cases for Paces by Hoole. It contains lots of useful tips/ advice from experienced examiners which perhaps other PACES books are lacking and definitely will give you some good insight into how the exam is structured/ marked and what the examiners are looking for.
